Mixed weather did not prevent eni FIM Superbike World Championship riders from tackling most of today’s qualifying session on dry conditions, so they were able to get up to full speed at the super-fast Monza’s Autodromo Nazionale, following the rain that hampered the first part of the day.

Spaniard Carlos Checa has started the ‘Panigale’ era of Ducati in World Superbike by winning the Tissot-Superpole at Phillip Island.

The Ducati Team Alstare managed to take the best out of the new Borgo Panigale superbike by setting an incredible 1’30.234, that means a brand-new Best Lap for the series and the 10th pole position of his career.

TVE’s sports channel Teledeporte will broadcast Superpole on Saturday and both Superbike races on Sunday.

Televisión Española and Dorna Group are pleased to announce an agreement made to broadcast the eni FIM World Superbike Championship for the next three seasons (2013-2015) on channels Teledeporte, TVE HP and RTVE.es. TV broadcast will be produced at TVE’s set in Sant Cugat (Barcelona). Motorcycle journalist Marc Martín will be the main commentator, while former riders Rubén Xaus and Joan Lascorz will join him with their technical comments.

Mixed weather played a part in today’s second and final eni FIM Superbike World Championship testing day at Phillip Island.

The 15 riders who got onto the track during the morning session took a steadier approach to the 4445 km circuit compared to yesterday, though they still continued their work on the drying track.
