Kevin Magnussen (DAMS) backed up his impressive start to the Formula Renault 3.5 Series season with a fine win in Saturday’s race at Motorland Aragon, the Dane taking maximum points ahead of Will Stevens (P1 by Strakka Racing) and Arthur Pic (AV Formula) to move to the top of the championship standings.

Spanish racer Sergio Canamsas has today finalised a deal to contest the 2013 GP2 Championship with Caterham Racing.
In addition to his GP2 role Sergio will be Caterham F1 Team’s 2013 Development Driver and his duties will include F1 simulator work at Leafield Technical Centre, as well as straight-line aero testing for the F1 team.

Ghirelli, Kuroda and Sato bring fresh note to upcoming Auto GP test in Barcelona
The cars will be lining-up at the venue, which is located outside Barcelona, on Thursday, December the 6th and Friday, December the 7th. Once again, the winter tests will enable teams to evaluate new drivers coming from other categories for possible 2013 deals.

The team will confirm the second driver for the Jerez test in due course
The Caterham Racing GP2 team has confirmed that it will be running Caterham F1 Team Test Driver Alexander Rossi at both official GP2 tests in Barcelona and Jerez on 30th/31st October and 21st/22nd November respectively. Alexander will be joined at the Barcelona test by World Series by Renault graduate Lucas Foresti who will drive the team’s second car at the Circuit de Catalunya.

Canadian Gianmarco Raimondo will be in the Spanish team’s cars
Just five weeks after the last race of the 2012 GP2 Series all the teams are back in action in Barcelona for the first of the two annual post-season tests. Racing Engineering will be giving four drivers the opportunity to drive their cars on the 4.655 km Spanish circuit that is a traditional venue for out of season testing. On Tuesday the 30th of October the Brazilian André Negrão and Canadian Gianmarco Raimondo will be in the Spanish team’s cars and on the following day, Wednesday the 31st, it will be the turn of Dutchman Nigel Melker and Argentinian Facundo Regalia.

Leaders eye Paul Ricard coronation
The World Series by Renault season is about to enter the final straight, with just the meetings at Paul Ricard and Barcelona left on the calendar. The first championship trophies of the year could well be handed out in the south of France, where there is also plenty of excitement in store off the track, thanks to a superb array of activities and entertainment on the ground and the aerial antics of the French Air Force’s aerobatic display team.

It was a partly damp track that greeted the Formula Renault 3.5 Series drivers at the Moscow Raceway on Friday morning.
Formula Renault 3.5 Series championship leader Sam Bird (ISR) dominated Friday’s collective testing at the all new Moscow Raceway, getting off on the right foot at the first WSR meeting in Russia by going fastest in both the morning and afternoon sessions.

The season is about to reach a high point as World Series by Renault heads to Russia for the very first time.
The next races in the Formula Renault 3.5 Series, Eurocup Formula Renault 2.0 and Eurocup Megane Trophy will be the first events to be held at the all-new Moscow Raceway, Russia’s first major racetrack complex. Formula One will also be at the heart of the action thanks to the Red Bull Racing and Caterham F1 Team demonstration drives.

All eyes on Germany!
While the footballing world will be devoting its attention to the final of UEFA’s EURO 2012 tournament next Sunday, European motorsport will have eyes only for the Nürburgring and round three of the World Series by Renault. It promises to be quite a weekend too, with races taking place in all four WSR events: Formula Renault 3.5 Series, Eurocup Formula Renault 2.0, Eurocup Megane Trophy and Eurocup Clio.

Spa-Francorchamps, full line-up!

This week saw the first pre-season test for the new Formula Renault 3.5 car at Paul Ricard circuit in southern France.
American driver Alexander Rossi commenced his Championship charge on Tuesday when he took to the track with his new team, Arden Caterham Motorsport, on their maiden outing in World Series by Renault.
Three weeks after the season’s first two races at Monza, the Formula Renault 3.5 Series field has reconvened at Motorland Aragon for the opening World Series by Renault meeting of the year.
