Superstars world of racing enjoy successful Czech weekend with 26.000 fans on the grandstands
Mercedes and BMW shared wins in the Superstars International Series today at Brno in front of 26.000 fans. In Race 1, pole-sitter Thomas Biagi sailed to victory by leading from start to finish and took the lead in standings in front of his Mercedes-AMG Romeo Ferraris team-mate Vitantonio Liuzzi.

That is the claim of the German-language Speed Week, reporting that the veteran of 256 grands prix, who lost his Caterham seat ahead of this season, was sounded out by new Italian broadcaster Sky to travel to next year’s 20 races as a television pundit.

Italian-based racer ready to battle for the podium at Vallelunga
While the challenge of the year in Vallelunga will involve Giancarlo Fisichella (who will be making his SUPERSTARS debut aboard a Swiss Team-prepared Maserati Quattroporte) and Championship leader Vitantonio Liuzzi, fielded by CAAL Racing on a Mercedes C63 AMG, another great contender for the 2012 title will join them in a sensational showdown. Running just 22 points off Liuzzi’s series lead, Thomas Biagi is set to try and go for the lead back in Italy.

Superstars has grown more and more International lately, and with three rounds still to go this season, the championship is entering an exciting season finale with a world-level flavour. After a two-month break, the cars will be back in action for the fourth round of the FIA World Endurance Championship. The race being held at the 5,901 kilometers long Silverstone Circuit, that is also known as the home of British motorsport, marks the final European round of the inaugural season of the FIA WEC before the teams will head to South America and Asia.

Vitantonio Liuzzi has warned the F1 world to watch closely the next moves in his career
Despite having a contract, the 30-year-old Italian was dropped by Force India at the end of 2010, and forced to rescue his grand prix career at HRT. But, again for 2012, he was replaced despite having a valid contract, and has since been racing in the new International Superstars series.

The Mercedes C63 AMG driven by Vitantonio Liuzzi, and wearing the manufacturer’s colors of Mercedes-AMG, will take off from the Pole Position tomorrow in Race 1 of the Superstars International Series weekend at the Hungaroring. The Italian former F.1 racer clocked a sensational laptime of 1:52.513 and was followed by the crowd’s home favorite, Norbert Michelisz, who raced the Scuderia Giudici-prepared BMW M3 to an outstanding front row position.
