Esteban Gutièrrez carries out aero test in Vairano
Young Mexican Esteban Gutièrrez will again be at the wheel for the Sauber F1 Team.
The 20-year old from Monterrey, who is currently competing in the GP2 Series, will be carrying out a straight line test on Saturday, 3rd September 2011, in Vairano. The test programme on the track near Milan will be focusing on aerodynamic measurements of the Sauber C30-Ferrari.

Ferrari is preparing to return to the long straight of the Vairano circuit to test the latest upgrades for the team’s improving 2011 car. After a disappointing start to the season, Fernando Alonso secured the 150 Italia car’s first podium in Turkey and more upgrades will be brought to the Circuit de Catalunya in a week.

Ferrari tested a Red Bull-like flexible front wing last week but will not introduce it this weekend in Turkey. It has emerged ahead of the Turkish grand prix that the Italian team tried the new wing in test driver Jules Bianchi’s hands during the Vairano straight-line test.

Ferrari debuts Red Bull-like exhausts – report
Ferrari got substantial upgrades for its 2011 car up and running at the Vairano circuit in northern Italy.
Autosprint said the “secret test” was to trial the “evolution” of the newly renamed 150 Italia car with Davide Rigon at the wheel. Ferrari had confirmed on Sunday that Italian Rigon conducted an aerodynamic test on the Vairano straight, and that Fernando Alonso and Felipe Massa would then get an early start to the Barcelona test on Monday for “filming”.

Toro Rosso is back in action this week as the Italian team bids to get its blown exhaust and F-duct up and running as soon as possible. At Monza on Friday morning, six grands prix from the end of the 2010 season, the Faenza based squad became the last of the established teams to run the technical innovations.

Ferrari had a tough race at Spa-Francorchamps but could be set for a stronger showing this weekend, according to team boss Stefano Domenicali. The Italian team, whilst trying to recover its championship deficit, brought updates for its F10 car to Belgium two weeks ago that resulted in a backwards step in terms of competitiveness.

Ferrari confirms McLaren’s Pat Fry joining team
Ferrari confirms new exhaust layout for 2010 car
Ferrari on Tuesday confirmed reports that Pat Fry is joining the famous Italian team. It emerged at the weekend that the 46-year-old Briton, who until recently was heading McLaren’s 2011 car project as long-time joint chief engineer, was linked with a move to the Maranello based squad.
The Italian team’s test and reserve driver was at Vairano, where what Ferrari described as the “management system for the blown rear wing” was run along with the entire Barcelona-spec package.
