Carlos Checa (Althea Racing Ducati) and Marco Melandri (BMW Motorrad Motorsport) took one race victory apiece
On a sunny race day at Miller Motorsports Park the sixth round of the eni FIM Superbike World Championship delivered some great action and two different race winners to the 49,000 strong weekend crowd. In a landmark day for the series, race one saw World Superbike reach its 600th individual race mark.

Earning the perfect starting place for Monday’s two SBK races.
Jakub Smrz (Liberty Racing Team Effenbert Ducati) scored his first Tissot-Superpole win of the season after setting a lap time of 1 minute 47.626 seconds in the last of three sessions. It was his second career pole position in this class, following the one he obtained back in 2009 at Misano. Despite a few spots of rain appearing on the riders’ visors during a dry Superpole contest Smrz rode with full pace right at the end to earn the perfect starting place for Monday’s two SBK races.

After missing the third round of the 2012 AMA Pro Road Racing season at Infineon Raceway, BYR/FOGI Racing’s Ben Young is eager to get back in the mix this weekend as AMA Pro Road Racing returns to Miller Motorsports Park in Tooele Valley, Utah for the BigM Weekend on May 26-28.

Checa takes Provisional Pole for World Superbike at Miller Motorsports Park
Carlos Checa continued his brilliant first day form on the Althea Racing Ducati machine at Miller Motorsports Park, the points leader and fastest rider in the first free session this morning blasting his way to a time of 1 minute 48.260 seconds and provisional pole.

Corser, Aaron, Whitehouse and Birch take top honors
Team Corser – consisting of World Superbike superstar Troy Corser, Rick Aaron of Fox 13 television in Salt Lake City, Ryan Whitehouse from the Deseret Chemical Depot and fan Kellen Birch of Rexburg, Idaho, won the Inaugural BigM Weekend Superbike Super Celebrity Mega Kart Showdown at Miller Motorsports Park today.

Andrew Ranger finishes 22nd in K&N Pro Series East event
On Saturday, two-time NASCAR Canadian Tire Series Champion Andrew Ranger turned the fastest lap of the 34-car field in the NASCAR K&N PRO Series West event held at Miller Motorsport Park earning the Coors Light Pole Award. Subsequently, in the race, he finished 20th with two laps down to the winner after leading 17 of the 63 laps race.

Schools available in Utah, Nevada and New Jersey
The Yamaha Champions Riding School, based at Miller Motorsports Park, will offer classes at three different locations during the 2011 season. In addition to its home location at Miller Motorsports Park in Tooele, Utah, the YCRS will also offer schools at Las Vegas Motor Speedway and New Jersey Motorsports Park.

As the 2010 Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series turns the page from summer into fall, drivers and teams are sharpening their focus on their championship hopes. Summer saw action at both Miller Motorsport Park in Tooele, Utah, and at Glen Helen Motorsport Park in San Bernardino, where many drivers really hit their stride, and the title fights started to take shape.
