A tire from Larson’s car flew into the grandstands
Tony Stewart won Saturday’s DRIVE4COPD 300 at Daytona International Speedway, but the elation of his victory disappeared in the wake of a heart-stopping wreck that saw Kyle Larson’s car demolished after flying into the crossover gate that provides access from the asphalt to the main grandstand.

It is the third time Stewart has taken home “Best Driver” honors
Tony Stewart, three-time and reigning NASCAR Sprint Cup Series champ, last night took home the 2012 ESPY for “Best Driver” at the 20th annual ESPY Awards on ESPN, beating out four-time IZOD IndyCar Series champion Dario Franchitti, F1 champion Sebastian Vettel and NHRA champion Del Worsham.

Summertime’s The Right Time For ‘Smoke’

The Dirt Sports Off-Road Pavilion will be an area dedicated to the off-road racing segment
Officials with the International Motorsports Industry Show (IMIS) announced today that the 2011 event will feature a new area when its doors open in December that will focus on the emerging off-road racing community.
In NASCAR’s biggest races, Paul Menard stretched his fuel mileage and held off a charging Jeff Gordon to win Sunday’s Brickyard 400 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
