Lotus F1 owner Gerard Lopez has revealed plans to take the former Renault team back into championship contention within a few years.
“Our efforts are concerted behind our objective to be a contender once more for the 2015-16 championships, to continue the proud heritage of the 1994-95 and 2005-6 world championship titles achieved by Enstone,” he said.

The son of a former F1 driver is reportedly targeting a test driver seat with the Lotus team. Venezuelan Johnny Cecotto, now 54, won the 350cc world motorbike class in 1975, before switching to two wheels and driving for the Theodore F1 team in 1983.

With United Autosports for epic 24 hour race in Belgium
Stefan Johansson will return to the wheel of an Audi this summer when the Swede drives a R8 LMS GT3 sports car for United Autosports in the Spa 24 Hours (31 July-1 August).The 53-year-old Los Angeles-based Scandinavian is a veteran of almost twenty 24 Hour races and won the legendary Le Mans 24 Hours in 1997 but will actually be making his début in the annual twice-around-the-clock Belgian encounter.
He was one of the most dependable and versatile racing drivers of the late 1960s and 1970s. Successful in most forms of motor sport at his time, Gethin was a true enthusiast who won many races driving for Lola amongst many other constructors.
