But only if the FIA green-lights the touted ‘world engine’
A formula one foray for Volkswagen would probably see the Audi or Porsche names above the garage doors. It has been reported for some time that the German carmaker giant is interested in entering the sport as an engine supplier but only if the FIA green-lights the touted ‘world engine’ for 2013.








The Cologne based team on Thursday announced a supplier agreement for the 2010 season. It is believed the Toyota Motor Corporation may not approve the team’s budget for next year at a November board meeting, but it has nonetheless been confirmed that ZF Sachs will supply dampers and clutches in 2010. 
Toyota still have a lot of work to do if they are to challenge the likes of Ferrari and McLaren-Mercedes and ultimately win races, that’s the verdict of team principal, Tadashi Yamashina.
Team boss Tadashi Yamashina says it is Toyota’s “dream” to win the formula one title with a Japanese driver.
