Paddock pays tribute to Antonelli, Laverty wins Tissot-Superpole
An emotional and moving tribute to Andrea Antonelli gathered the entire WSBK paddock on the starting line at Silverstone, together with his Team, Goeleven Kawasaki, Andrea’s bike #8 and the Moscow Raceway Supersport race winner trophy, which was given in his memory.

Tom Sykes (Kawasaki Racing Team) has clocked another outstanding lap-time to grab his 6th consecutive Tissot-Superpole out of 7 held so far in 2013 – the 17th of his career – that brings the English rider up to 4th in the all-time pole position winners list, tied with former WSBK Champion Doug Polen.

Mixed weather did not prevent eni FIM Superbike World Championship riders from tackling most of today’s qualifying session on dry conditions, so they were able to get up to full speed at the super-fast Monza’s Autodromo Nazionale, following the rain that hampered the first part of the day.

The eni FIM Superbike World Championship has put in today another great show as riders from four of the five classes battled out for the best positioning in the respective races in front of an enthusiastic crowd (that reached a total of 52.000 spectators over the whole weekend).
