More than 25 drivers with formula one experience will be on the grid at this weekend’s 80th running of the fabled 24 hour Le Mans race.
Near the front, in the premier LMP1 prototype class, will be Allan McNish and Marc Gene, driving for Audi. Scot McNish raced in F1 with Toyota in 2002, while Gene drove for Minardi and is still a Ferrari test driver. Toyota has since left F1 and for 2012 has entered Le Mans, and the Japanese marque’s number 8 entry is a grand prix-superteam featuring Anthony Davidson (Super Aguri), Sebastien Buemi (Toro Rosso) and one-off 1999 Minardi driver Stephane Sarrazin.

Rubens Barrichello left the Interlagos paddock late on Sunday without saying goodbye.
It is believed the 39-year-old Brazilian’s longest-ever F1 career might have ended as the chequered flag waved at Interlagos, as Adrian Sutil and Valtteri Bottas appear more likely candidates for the Williams seat in 2012.

Johnny Herbert will make his third appearance in 2010 as a formula one steward this weekend. The 46-year-old Briton, who won three grands prix during his career spanning 165 races until 2000, debuted in the role in Malaysia and then wore an FIA shirt again in Turkey.

Rubens Barrichello is still confident that he is set to extend his record-longest formula one career into a 19th consecutive season. At Spa-Francorchamps in two weeks, the Brazilian will celebrate an unprecedented 300th grand prix, but currently he is only contracted to keep racing until his 306th career race in November.

For the Fall Classic September 25th to 27th
The 944-cup series will be featured at the upcoming Fall Classic at the famous Mont-Tremblant Circuit. Hardent, a local engineering firm, is proud to sponsor this historical event, the first time that a Porsche-only series will be racing at Le Circuit since the Rothmans Porsche Turbo Cup series almost 20 years ago. There will be a race on Saturday and Sunday.
