Bruni winds it up late to go fastest in GT for Risi
Marcel Fassler kept Audi Sport on top in the early going at Sebring International Raceway with the fastest time in the day’s second practice session for the 61st Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring Fueled by Fresh from Florida. Fassler, two-time and defending winner at the Le Mans 24 Hours for Audi, set a best time of 1:45.806 (127.252 mph) in the No. 1 Audi R18 e-tron quattro he co-drives with Benoit Treluyer and Oliver Jarvis.

Simon Pagenaud tops charts in P2 on final lap
The 61st Annual Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring kicked off Thursday morning with the first official practice session of the week, and it certainly wasn’t short on drama. In the session’s opening minute, last year’s overall winner Allan McNish spun on cold tires at Turn 12, damaging the nose and front suspension on the No. 2 Audi R18 e-tron quattro.

Level 5 out front in P2, Ferraris strong in GT
Audi Sport Team Joest’s Allan McNish set the best time of Monday’s opening test for the 60th Anniversary Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring. The three-time winner of America’s greatest sports car race set a time of 1:47.187 (125.612 mph) in the Audi R18 he will share with Dindo Capello and Tom Kristensen.

Second straight pole position for Peugeot’s British ace
Seeking a third straight victory at Road Atlanta, Team Peugeot Total is on pole position again for the 14th annual Petit Le Mans powered by Mazda. Anthony Davidson set a blistering 1:07.428 (135.611 mph) lap in qualifying Friday in the diesel-powered Peugeot 908 coupe that he will drive in Saturday’s 1,000-mile/10-hour race with Sébastien Bourdais and Simon Pagenaud.

Duo bring home the top-finishing Honda keeping team’s championship hopes alive
Ryan Eversley and co-driver Simon Pagenaud knew they faced an uphill battle at Laguna Seca, despite the recent removal of a series-mandated inlet restrictor. “Laguna’s a track that favours the rear-wheel-drive cars, and even with the restrictor gone, the Honda is still far from the fastest front-wheel-drive platform as the results show,” explained Eversley.

Team Peugeot Total produced a blend of panache and suspense to round off the 908 HDi FAP’s career with a resounding victory in Sunday’s 1000km of Zhuhai (southeast China). After monopolising the front row of the grid at the start, the two cars succeeded in dominating the early part of the race before coming under pressure themselves.

Brabs brilliant in stunning damp qualifying battle
Patrón Highcroft Racing’s David Brabham won a stunning wet qualifying session Friday at Lime Rock Park for his second overall pole position in the American Le Mans Northeast Grand Prix. Brabham turned in a best lap of 58.106 (92.934 mph) in the HPD ARX-01c that he will drive with Simon Pagenaud. He outpaced Muscle Milk Team CytoSport’s Klaus Graf by 0.64 seconds.

Quick final stop helps send Brabham/Pagenaud to victory
Patrón Highcroft Racing scored its third consecutive victory in the American Le Mans Series presented by Tequila Patrón on Sunday with a hard-fought victory in the Larry H. Miller Dealerships Utah Grand Prix. Simon Pagenaud drove the final 1:45 in the team’s HPD ARX-01c, and the Patrón Highcroft crew took advantage of a quick final pit stop to beat Drayson Racing’s Emanuele Pirro to the line by 19.116 seconds at Miller Motorsports Park.

Second straight pole position at Utah for French phenom
Simon Pagenaud captured his second straight pole position at the Larry H. Miller Dealerships Utah Grand Prix on Saturday. The sterling Frenchman set a best lap of 1:34.350 (116.229 mph) in Patrón Highcroft Racing’s HPD ARX-01c that he will drive with David Brabham.

Preview Le Mans 24 Hours (June 6-13, 2010)
On the momentum of its one-two finish at Le Mans this time last year, Peugeot is on the hunt for a second straight win in the prestigious French competition.
