Leimer lights up Malaysia feature race
The upcoming Sepang test marks the first major trial for this new range of slicks developed for CRT entries
Bridgestone heads to Malaysia’s Sepang International Circuit to support the first MotoGP™ group test of 2013, as the world’s largest rubber goods manufacturer begins its fifth season as the official tyre supplier to the class.
Round sixteen of the 2012 MotoGP™ season takes place at Sepang International Circuit
A real test of man and machine with its high ambient temperatures and technical layout. Comprising ten right-hand and five left-hand corners and measuring 5,548 metres in length, Sepang’s standout feature are its two long straights that demand excellent stability from the front tyre due to the very hard braking zones at the end. The rest of the circuit is a mix of high and low speed corners that overall place a lot of stress on tyres – particularly at the front.
Improved warm-up performance, enhanced rider feel and extended operating temperature for tyres
Following an intensive development programme over the winter break, Bridgestone is geared up for the first MotoGP group tests of 2012 as evaluation of the tyres that will be used for the upcoming season continues.
