Auto GP to race on the full road course in Sonoma
In one month time Auto GP will start the engines in Sonoma for the first North American race in its history
After an inspection carried out by Formula One race director Charlie Whiting it has been confirmed that the layout for the weekend will be the full road course, including the Carousel chicane (turn 7a), the motorcycling chicane (turn 9a) and the final hairpin (turn 11), for a total lap distance of 4.025 metres.

Sixteen-year-old Jeffrey Bartz has big plans
Sixteen-year-old Jeffrey Bartz has big plans, and those start with the 2012 F1600 Formula F Championship Series, which he will contest with a Van Diemen/Honda. Bartz’s interest in racing began at age five at a local kart track in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin. Since then he has won over 90 feature races and 11 karting championships.

Black Watch Racing Group to Field Two Cars
Black Watch will run two cars this season.
Black Watch Racing Group will contest the 2012 F1600 Formula F Championship Series season with a two car team made up of Dan Murphy and F1600 race winner Jim Goughary. The duo will race the team’s freshly rebuilt Van Diemen/Hondas for the full six-event, 12-race 2012 schedule.

Joe Griffin Joins Atlantic Championship Series
The new Atlantic Championship Series, operated by Formula Race Promotions, has appointed Joe Griffin as technical director.
Griffin brings years of Atlantic car experience to the Series, having been involved with the class going back to the Formula B days, and working for a former version of the Series from 1983 to 2006.

Black Watch Racing Group to F1600
Black Watch Racing Group joining the F1600 Series for 2012
Black Watch Racing Group has announced that it will contest the 12-round, six-weekend 2012 F1600 Formula F Championship Series season with a pair of Van Diemen/Hondas. The team is a newcomer to the F1600 Series, but ran a SCCA Formula F program in 2011, including an entry at the National Championship Runoffs.

Atlantic Championship Series launching for 2012
A six-round, three-event Championship is planned for 2012.
Formula Race Promotions has announced the formation of the Atlantic Championship Series for SCCA-legal Formula Atlantic race cars. The Series will be run in conjunction with the highly successful F2000 Championship Series and F1600 Formula F Championship Series, sanctioned by SCCA Pro Racing.
Road racing champions will be decided this week at Road America as drivers from around the country participate in the SCCA National Championship Runoffs® Presented by Subway, September 23-26, 2010.
