2012 IndyCar Series Champion Ryan Hunter-Reay will compete at this year’s Race Of Champions in Bangkok, Thailand
The American took four IndyCar victories this season before becoming the first champion of a major 2012 motor sport series at last month’s finale. Hunter-Reay joins a field featuring F1 world champions Michael Schumacher and Sebastian Vettel for ROC 2012 on December 15-16.

The 2012 IZOD IndyCar season finale came to a close only a few laps too soon as Alex Tagliani and his Barracuda Racing crew battled for the lead. With less than 25 laps remaining in the 500-mile MAVTV 500 race, a mechanical issue ended the day for the No. 98 car. Just before the incident, Tagliani had fought his way to the front of the field.

Lola scored a memorable class win in the LMP2 category and its customer cars finished 6th and 7th overall at the 59th running of the Sebring 12 hours this weekend. On the tough, bumpy airfield circuit in central Florida, temperatures reached up to 85 degrees Fahrenheit and with 55 cars on the grid, the Lola entered prototype sports cars showed they had the pace and durability to start the season with a victory.

Initially anyway, Dario Franchitti will be boxed in by three Team Penske cars and three Andretti Autosport cars in the Indy Japan 300. Extricating himself will require a give-and-take effort — give it his all over 200 laps and take whatever breaks fall in his lap to further fill the 17-point championship crevice heading into the season finale Oct. 2 at Homestead-Miami Speedway.

As the green flag dropped Simona immediately picked up a position and by lap # 7 she had a 2.3 second gap between her and the 7th spot of E.J. Viso.

Alex Tagliani is sixth quickest in Friday’s practice in Toronto
FAZZT Race Team driver Alex Tagliani was sixth fastest today
Tagliani posted his fastest lap time on his final run around the 2.816-kilometer street course with a time 1 minute 02.3935 seconds for an average speed of 162.968 km/h. That lap time at the end of the session propelled the Bowers & Wilkins Hot Wheels driver from 11th on the time sheet to fourth.

Fuel strategy was the key in today’s race. The team brought Alex in for his first stop on lap 5 in the hopes that an alternate strategy would play in their favor.

Tagliani 21st in Camping World Grand Prix at the Glen Friday practice
Making his first-ever start at Watkins Glen International
Canadian driver Alex Tagliani finished 21st in the only practice session held Friday on the 5.472-kilometer scenic road course located in upstate New York. The FAZZT Race Team driver posted his best time on lap 12 of his 13 circuits stopping the clock at 1 minute 34.2046 seconds for an average speed of 207.257 km/h.
Alex Tagliani will be making his first Iowa Speedway start this weekend in Round 8 of the 2010 IZOD IndyCar Series schedule. The fourth edition of the Iowa Corn Indy 250 is a 250-lap, 352.043 kilometers affair around the 1.408-kilometer short oval.
