Teen racer joins rookie shortlist alongside F1 stars
FIA Formula Two Championship runner-up Mathéo Tuscher has been nominated as Rookie of the Year for the prestigious Autosport Awards. His name appears alongside Formula 1 drivers Romain Grosjean, Charles Pic, Daniel Ricciardo and Jean-Eric Vergne, as well as drivers from Indycar, GP2, Formula Renault 3.5 and Formula 3.
New stars battle with series veterans to enjoy exciting 2012 season
Johan Kristoffersson has been the class of the 2012 Superstars field by winning the Rookie of the Year contest (and an 100.000€ bonus for the next season), the International Series and the Italian Championship. On the other hand he has also been a great ambassador for the many young drivers of the championship: as happened in the last few years, the series kept highlighting some of the best prospects in racing.

The great performance of Roma Racing Team’s Andrea Boffo at Monza, on a Mercedes C63 AMG, in addition to the impressive results scored by Swedish Johan Kristoffersson and German Thomas Schoffler, both running on the new Audi RS5 for Audi Sport / KMS and Audi Sport / MTM, have left a strong impression and put more attention on the “ROOKIE OF THE YEAR” contest. The special prize classification is aimed at awarding the best young racers who proved able to battle with the SUPERSTARS great.

Superstars is offering a new, unique opportunity to young drivers with the launch of the brand-new Rookie of the year title. The winning driver will be offered a fully-funded ride in the European season of the 2013 AutoGP championship.
New Zealander Chris Vlok is the Formula Tour 1600 Series rookie of the year driving his BGR Team Grote Van Diemen.
He finished fourth overall in the points narrowly missing 3rd with his 5th podium of the year at the fnal round at the Le Circuit Mont Tremblant. Entering the final weekend the rookie driver was still in contention for a top 3 placing in the Championship but a tough race on Saturday which saw him spin but recover to finish 10th meant it was a long shot to overtake 3rd in the points.
Morcom is in sixth place overall, and third in the rookie standings
Nathan Morcom remains in contention for the F2000 Championship Series Rookie of the Year title after two seventh placings in a wild day’s racing at Lime Rock Park. The Sydney teenager kept his cool despite problems on and off the 2.4km (1.5-mile) Connecticut racetrack in the 11th and 12th rounds of the American ‘development’ openwheeler series.

Scott Steckly came out on top in a fierce battle with Pete Shepherd III to win the Komatsu 300 presented by Wilson Equipment at Riverside International Speedway on Saturday and extend his lead in the championship standings of the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series.
Rookie Battle Tightens – Five drivers still alive for 2011 honor
Isabelle Tremblay trails Louis-Philippe Dumoulin by two points in the Rookie of the Year standings and looks to change that on Saturday, Sept. 17 in the Komatsu 300 presented by Wilson Equipment at Riverside International Speedway in Antigonish, N.S.
Divisional Champions lead 2011 Thunder Road Rookie Class
The 13th annual Merchants Bank 150 will open the new season at Thunder Road International Speedbowl on Sunday, May 1, 2011. There is no track on the American Canadian Tour (ACT) schedule that presents a bigger challenge to the ACT regular touring teams than Thunder Road and its regular teams. As many as eight (8) former Thunder Road “King of the Road” champions are expected to be at the opening event.
