Tom Bledsoe has been named president of GRAND-AM Road Racing, it was announced today by the sports car sanctioning body. Bledsoe has served as GRAND-AM’s chief operation officer and vice president since December 2007, and has been acting president since Roger Edmondson took a leave of absence earlier this year due to health reasons.
Several GRAND-AM drivers and teams, many with ties to New York City, visited Grand Central Terminal on Wednesday to promote the upcoming Rolex Sports Car Series presented by Crown Royal Cask No. 16 and Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge races at Lime Rock Park.
GRAND-AM has grown and flourished under Edmondson’s leadership since its inception in 1999. His leave is effective now. Tom Bledsoe will assume the day-to-day leadership role for GRAND-AM and continue to be supported by the management team including Vice President of Competition Dave Spitzer, Managing Director of Competition Mark Raffauf and Vice President of Marketing & Communications Kevin Hindson.
Mike Sweeney returns to APR Motorsport for his second full season of GRAND-AM Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge in 2010, after a superb rookie year where he took three victories with the APR Motorsport team.

Coming off its best finish of the 2009 season, AIM Autosport is pleased to announce that Champ Car and Indy Car driver Bruno Junqueira will join the team for the next race in the Rolex Sports Car Series presented by Crown Royal Cask No. 16.
AIM Autosport came to New Jersey Motorsport Park (NJMP) on a roll last season having recorded three straight podiums including back-to-back wins at Montreal and Watkins Glen plus they had three poles in the last four races.
If momentum means anything, the final race in the Rolex Sports Car Series presented by Crown Royal Cask No. 16 should be something special for the AIM Autosport team.
