‘Being a Webber’ not enough – Villeneuve
Daniel Ricciardo and Jean-Eric Vergne need to really shine if they are to be promoted by Red Bull.
That is the claim of Jacques Villeneuve, the outspoken 1997 world champion turned television pundit. Youngsters Ricciardo and Vergne have been given a second full season each at Red Bull’s junior team Toro Rosso, but Villeneuve thinks they face a tough task to prove they should be slotted in for 2014 alongside Sebastian Vettel.

Romain Grosjean, denounced by Mark Webber last year as the ‘first lap nutcase’, insists he has changed for the better ahead of the 2013 season.
But 1997 world champion Jacques Villeneuve doesn’t think so. “The only reason he has the chance of winning is because he has an incredible car,” French Canadian Villeneuve, who has been signed up by F1′s new French broadcaster Canal+ for 2013, said.

More countries have followed Britain’s lead in seeing their exclusive free-to-air television coverage of formula one end.
The first bombshell was last year, when the split arrangement between pay-channel Sky and the BBC began for the British audience. Sky’s German arm has shared coverage with free-to-air RTL for years.
