Homestead-Miami pre-race report

This is it, the finale event of the 2010, 17-race IZOD IndyCar Series schedule that will take place this weekend at the 2.414-kilometer Homestead-Miami Speedway oval. For FAZZT Race Team driver Alex Tagliani, this will be his second race at the South Florida oval track, but his first since 2000 when he qualified fourth and finished ninth as a rookie in the Champ Car Series.








There were mixed results for AIM Autosport’s Formula Mazda drivers this afternoon as they competed in the first of two races at New Jersey Motorsports Park. After a morning qualifying session, round 8 of the Star Mazda Championship presented by Goodyear started at 3:00pm. A total of 29 laps were run during the 45-minute timed race.
For the 2010 BFGoodrich/Skip Barber National Presented by Mazda. This is the 13th year of the Skip Barber National. 
With the 23rd annual Performance Racing Industry (PRI) Show as the backdrop, Zach Veach and Jensen MotorSport announced today that Veach will compete in the 2010 Cooper Tires Presents The Atlantic Championship Powered by Mazda. The 15-year-old driver will be the youngest in the 37-year history of the series.

Second behind Will Power earlier today in the third Penske car, Raphaël Matos completed the first day at the Honda Indy Toronto in first place ahead of Justin Wilson who gained ten positions in his second outing.
The famous race at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, the 33-driver starting field will include seven drivers with previous experience in the Cooper Tires Presents The Atlantic Championship Powered by Mazda.
So much so that A.J. Foyt didn’t have to raise his voice to speak with son Larry on pit lane.
