Perez admitted his objective is to race for Ferrari one day.
Ferrari had high praise for Sergio Perez after the Mexican on Thursday tested one of the Italian team’s single seaters for the first time. A race rookie with Sauber in 2011, 21-year-old Perez is also a leading member of Ferrari’s driver ‘academy’ and tipped as a possible future replacement for Felipe Massa.

Lotus Renault GP is pleased to announce Fairuz Fauzy as a reserve driver for the 2011 season.
The 28-year-old Malaysian joins the team with a wealth of motor sport experience, including significant Formula 1 mileage gained during practice sessions in 2010. He has also raced regularly in the GP2 Series, A1GP, and the World Series by Renault, where he finished as championship runner-up in 2009.

The rumours have also been played down by Mercedes
Renault’s formula one team has rubbished rumours suggesting the pacesetting Red Bull Racing is set to switch engine suppliers for 2011. The rumour has already been denied by Force India, who were apparently to the be the recipient of the Renault power plant next year while Red Bull moved to Mercedes.

Sauber needs some more sponsors to ensure the C29 car can be properly developed, Pedro de la Rosa insists. Four races into the 2010 season and still with a mainly blank white livery, the formerly BMW-owned team is struggling with poor reliability and lagging pace.

Romain Grosjean insists he does not want to close the chapter on his brief formula one career. The almost 24-year-old Swiss-Frenchman took over from the sacked Nelson Piquet last year, driving the R29 at the final seven rounds as the ‘crashgate’ scandal struck and Renault lost chiefs, sponsors and the support of its carmaker parent.

With only rookies with less than three official F1 events under their belts eligible to drive, nine out of the ten teams that contested the 2009 world championship fielded single cars on the opening morning of the three-day session.

Renault could be set to race a dramatically altered livery at the last two grands prix of the 2009 season.
With title sponsor ING departing in the wake of the crash-gate scandal, the French squad is currently using only a slightly altered version of its original yellow, orange, white and red livery for the R29.
Renault will race with an unchanged livery in Brazil this weekend. It had been speculated that, in the wake of ING’s departure as title sponsor, the team might launch a new image for the final two races of 2009 by dropping the orange from the livery of its R29 car. 
The ING Renault F1 Team heads to Shanghai for round three of the world championship this weekend: the Chinese Grand Prix.
