Host of The Eastern Canadian Karting Championship Grand Final
After having made the changes to adapt the race circuit, with the goal of receiving top class competition in 2011, not even a year has passed and we have the pleasure to present two championships for the 14th edition of the Monaco of Trois-Rivières.

Rotax Max Challenge Grand Finals report – Ouellette champion and Team Canada 2nd
PSL Karting can now boast its third Rotax Max Challenge World Champion as Pier-Luc Ouellette captured the DD2 crown Saturday at Al Ain Raceway, United Arab Emirates. It’s the same spot he earned a DD2 Grand Final win in 2007, one that came a year after Luc Sauriol won the Masters Rotax Max World Championship in Portugal. The event brought the race season to a close for PSL, one that began when it was named the #1 CRG distributor in the world and now ends with the Rotax World Championship.

Pier-Luc Ouellette almost get the fastest time, finishing first in his group and second overall
Drivers had two 15-minute practice sessions today to get used to their chassis and find the right set-ups for tomorrow’s qualifying session. Remember that most of the drivers here are racing on a kart they never drove before and they all have to use the same equipment.

Di Leo and Ouellette collected ECKC testing awards at ICAR.
With the Eastern Canadian Karting Championship season having concluded for 2011, all that remains is for the many award winners to attend a variety of events such as the Rotax Max Challenge Grand Finals, the Mazda Road to Indy Scouting Combine, and first up – car testing in a race prepared Lombardi Racing Honda.

Ouellette made it two in the very next class, taking control in DD2.
Showing the strength of its series and how it prepares racers to compete at the highest of levels, three reigning ECKC champions became Canadian National Champions over the weekend at the Jim Russell Karting Academy in Mont-Tremblant, Quebec.

Lombardi Honda will test the ECKC DD2 and Senior Champions
On the eve of its 2011 Championship weekend comes word of two new awards for Eastern Canadian Karting Championship drivers. Both the DD2 Champion and Rotax Senior Champion will receive half-day tests with championship winning Lombardi Honda Racing. The awards will see the two ECKC Champions on track at Circuit ICAR this September and behind the wheel of reigning Canadian Champion Honda Civics.

Team PSL Karting had one of its biggest team gatherings in history recently as both the Quebec Championship and Eastern Canadian Karting Championship met at Karting Trois-Rivieres for a pair of race starts. Team PSL Karting, PSL Atlantic, PSL Montreal and PSL Ontario combined to field thirty-four drivers, nearly all racing both the second round of the Quebec Championship on Saturday and the third round of the ECKC on Sunday.

Though it seems the summer season in Canadian racing has just begun, the Eastern Canadian Karting Championship reached its halfway point on Sunday as the Rotax masses were contesting six classes at PSL Karting Trois-Rivieres. An even one hundred were on hand for race number three following a practice day Friday and a round of the Quebec Cup on Saturday.

The 2011 Eastern Canadian Karting Championship will reach its halfway point this weekend as teams and drivers converge on PSL Karting Trois-Rivières in Trois-Rivières, Quebec, for race number three of six. Rotax Max Challenge classes will once again be in the spotlight, as drivers in Senior, Junior, and DD2 continue bids to earn seats on Team Canada for the Rotax Max Challenge Grand Finals.

PSL Karting ECKC Goodwood report
Team PSL Karting was back racing in Canada a week ago as the Eastern Canadian Karting Championship got underway at Goodwood Kartways in Ontario. The joint forces of PSL, PSL Atlantic, PSL Ontario, and the newly-minted PSL Montreal combined to race 27-strong in the opening event, and the group scored five poles, five wins and fourteen podiums in a weekend doubleheader.

All winter and spring planning comes to fruition today as the 2011 Eastern Canadian Karting Championship gets underway at Goodwood Kartways in Stouffville, Ontario. The finest karters from Ontario through the Maritimes are already on hand at the fabled circuit, set for a full day of Official Testing today before a doubleheader race weekend Saturday and Sunday.

Return on an unbelievable Sunday
As you already know, yesterday was a wonderful day for Team Canada when Scott Campbell and Daniel Morad won the world title in their category. Because of the short time we had at the end of this long Sunday to prepare our daily report, we prepared a longer one today with more details.

End of the prelimary round
Today was very important for the drivers at the Rotax Max Challenge Grand Finals. Drivers had to race in their third and last heat race and, for those who will not qualify directly for the final round, in the Second chance race in the Rotax Max Junior, Rotax Max and DD2 classes.
