Minor sweeps VIR weekend
Minor started from first place, his second pole and second win of the weekend
Tim Minor briefly lost his race lead on a messy restart but took it back one lap later and pulled out a gap in the No. 88 Citation to take his second win in two days and sweep the F2000 season opener at VIR for Ski Motorsports.

Zach Craigo looks to 2013 season, more success

For Colorado’s Zach Craigo, 2012 marked a milestone, with two career-best finishes of fourth at New Jersey Motorsports Park and Summit Point Raceway in the No. 18 Van Diemen from Front Range Motorsports. It was a solid improvement for the 27-year-old, who ran six out of the seven events after a few seasons with select races entered.

F2000 announces 2013 Schedule
The F2000 Championship Series today announced its 2013 seven-event schedule for the Championship’s eighth season.
As always, the development Series featuring aspiring drivers and proven veterans will start the season in Virginia in April and then continue touring some of North America’s best road courses as large fields fight for race wins and a Championship.All weekends feature two races.

F1600 launches 2013 12-Race Schedule
The F1600 Formula F Championship Series today announced its 2013 six-event 12-race schedule for the Championship’s third season.
The ultra-competitive Championship featuring close racing will kick off in April in Virginia, before heading to Road Atlanta for the first time, followed by Lime Rock, and two trips to the tricky Mid-Ohio road course before the season finale at Summit Point.
Last week, Jesse Lazare took part in the Rotax Max Grand Finals as part of Team Canada. The Quebec based, www.doordoctor.com supported driver was excited that the event had finally arrived on the calendar. Lazare was one of 72 drivers entered in Rotax Senior. Nov 20
Coello reflects on Third Place 2012 Championship

Niki Coello came into his first full F2000 Championship Series season far from rookie status, with a collection of National Championships and hopes to contend for the title in his No. 81 RFR chassis. While the title would prove elusive, Coello collected podium after podium until scoring the first and only non-Van Diemen win in Series history in the pouring rain at Summit Point in August en route to a third place Championship effort.

Koykka: A Championship Year
Koykka would end the season with a Championship on top of four race wins
Matias Koykka showed up at VIR to start the 2012 F1600 Formula F Championship Series season with a relatively unknown name and resume. That didn’t stop him, however, as he immediately drove to a victory for Cape Motorsports with Wayne Taylor Racing in the Spectrum/Honda. The 17-year-old‘s United States project began almost a year earlier, when he moved to Ohio from Finland for high school with his sights set on a racing career.
