Rookie holds off race-lap record-setter in Round 8 at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park
Yesterday’s Cooper Tires Prototype Lites Powered by Mazda saw points-leader Tristan Nunez of Performance Tech make a strong run from the last spot on the grid. His charge toward the front included a race-lap record, but it wasn’t enough to get by the veteran Jon Brownson of Eurosport Racing or catch the race-winner Mikhail Goikhberg of JDC Motorsports. Nunez would settle for third, behind the second-place Brownson.

Performance Tech owner Brent O’Neill is pleased to announce that his team will return to the American Le Mans Series presented by Tequila Patrón in 2011. The Hollywood, Fla., based team will be running an ORECA FLM09 car in the LMP Challenge class with sponsorship being provided by Medical Connections, Braille Battery and Ric-Man Construction.
