Coors Light renews as Official Beer Of NASCAR; Miller Lite extends partnership with Penske Racing, Keselowski
NASCAR, MillerCoors and Penske Racing today jointly announced multi-year partnership extensions for the brewer’s two biggest brands. For MillerCoors, the deals with the sanctioning body and one of the sport’s most respected teams solidify its status among the most committed sponsors in NASCAR. In addition, MillerCoors has alliances with seven tracks that host NASCAR races.

A three-year sponsorship deal
Budweiser will sponsor Kevin Harvick’s No. 29 Richard Childress Racing Chevrolet starting next season, the Sprint Cup series squad announced Tuesday. Following his third win of the season last Sunday at Michigan, his team unveiled a three-year sponsorship deal, which will see him sport the colors of the iconic beer brand in 20 of the 36 points’ races in 2011. Budweiser will serve as an associate sponsor for the remainder of the schedule.

Top-10 Finish for Tagliani at the Indy 500
In a race that was played in the pit lane and where many on track incidents changed the course of the race, FAZZT Race Team driver Alex Tagliani stayed out of trouble to finish 10th in the Indy 500 race held Sunday at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Starting from fifth on the grid, the Canadian driver ran in the top four in the first segment of the race.

Donald “D.J.” Richardson, passed away shortly after 10 p.m. ET Friday. Richardson, a native of Leominster, Mass., was hospitalized with severe complications due to the H1N1 virus. He had contracted the virus during a visit to Massachusetts during the Thanksgiving holiday.

Penske Racing announced that Steve Addington will head up the No. 2 Dodge team beginning in 2010
The 45-year-old Addington, who was crew chief for 12 Cup Series victories during the past two seasons, will team up with driver Kurt Busch, who is coming off a fourth-place finish in the 2009 series championship standings.

Jay Guy named Brad Keselowski’s crew chief in Cup series
Jay Guy will be the crew chief for Brad Keselowski’s #12 Sprint Cup Series team, Penske Racing announced earlier this week. Guy most recently worked as the crew chief on the #78 Furniture Row Racing car driven by Regan Smith. Guy also has been a crew chief in the Nationwide Series and Camping World Truck Series.

Dodge Motorsports revealed the Challenger as its new car for the Nationwide Series and announced an expansion of its partnership with Penske Racing beginning in 2010.
