Busy rally schedule for Antoine L’Estage and Nathalie Richard

Patrick Richard (Squamish, BC) and Rob Fagg (Isle of Man, UK) of the Subaru Canada Rally Team Canada have won the Rally Perce-Neige Maniwaki with a clean, trouble-free drive in their Subaru WRX STi. “It was flawless for us, we had no issues whatsoever” said Richard after the rally.“But it was very slippery; it was the iciest Perce-Neige I’ve ever seen.”







The 5th round of the Canadian Rally Championship will take place this coming weekend out of Merritt, British Columbia, a small vicinity north-east of Vancouver nested in the Rockies. Barely three weeks after the last event in Québec, the Mitsubishi teams entered have been working extra hours to prepare the cars for the event before setting out to cross the country for the second Western round on the calendar.
Antoine L’Estage and Nathalie Richard, both of St-Jean-sur-Richelieu (QC) are among the favourites in this weekend’s Pacific Forest Rally, in British Columbia, the penultimate round of the 2010 Canadian Rally Championship. At the wheel of their Rockstar Royal Group Mitsubishi Evo X, the team has won four of the past five events in North America and is striving for a sixth win this weekend, which would vault them into the lead of the Canadian title hunt.
The Subaru team of Patrick Richard and co-driver Alan Ockwell took second place in the 2010 Rallye Defi. Even though the team pushed hard and won half the competitive stages, they were never able to close the time deficit after a flat tire early in the race. The victory went to Antoine L’Estage and co-driver Nathalie Richard.
Subaru Rally Team Canada driver Patrick Richard and co-driver Alan Ockwell claimed second place in the Rocky Mountain Rally held this past weekend near Calgary, Alberta. First place was taken by Antoine L’Estage and Nathalie Richard of Mitsubishi. After two events Subaru and Mitsubishi are tied for first in the Canadian Manufacturer’s Championship.
Icy conditions and mechanical issues took their toll on the field of 54 entrants at the 2010 Rallye Perce Neige on Saturday. Only 36 cars made it to the finish of the first round of the 2010 Canadian Rally Championship, presented by Subaru and supported by Yokohama.
Patrick Richard and co-driver Alan Ockwell overcame treacherous road conditions and high attrition in the final round of the 2008 Canadian Rally Championship saw the Subaru Rally Team Canada duo take their fourth win of the year.
