Nissan DeltaWing damaged in crash
Muscle Milk Pickett Racing was on the offensive at Road Atlanta on Wednesday as it set the fastest time in testing ahead of the 15th Annual Petit Le Mans powered by Mazda. Saturday’s 1,000-mile/10-hour race will decide the American Le Mans Series presented by Tequila Patrón’s P1 championship between Muscle Milk and Dyson Racing.

The American Le Mans Series presented by Tequila Patrón starts its summer swing – six races over the next 11 weeks – with round four at Lime Rock Park July 6-7, the ninth annual Northeast Grand Prix. It’s got one of the biggest grids ever for this event: 32 entries made up of 15 prototypes and 17 GT cars.

At American Le Mans Series, round 9 / Intercontinental Le Mans Cup, round 6 in Road Atlanta, USA
With his Porsche 911 GT3 RSR, Joerg Bergmeister takes up the 1,000 mile race in Road Atlanta on Saturday from position five on the grid. In qualifying for Petit Le Mans, the final round of the American Le Mans Series, the Porsche works driver from Germany was only eight-tenths of a second shy of the top GT-class time on the storied circuit in the US state of Georgia.

Dyson Lola-Mazda nips Muscle Milk Aston Martin coupe
After a practice session dominated by Muscle Milk Aston Martin Racing, Guy Smith threw down the fastest lap for Dyson Racing on Friday morning in practice for the Tequila Patrón American Le Mans Series at Long Beach. The Englishman set a time of 1:16.780 in Mazda-powered Lola that he will share with Chris Dyson in Saturday’s race.

Quickest time in both of Wednesday’s Winter Test sessions
Muscle Milk Aston Martin Racing opened the Sebring Winter Test in strong style Tuesday with the fastest times in both sessions with its Aston Martin-powered Lola. The exotic closed-top prototype turned in a best lap of 1:50.530 (120.510 mph) with team owner Greg Pickett, Klaus Graf and Lucas Luhr sharing driving duties.

Flying Lizard Motorsports contests ALMS and Daytona in 2011
Full steam ahead for Flying Lizard Motorsports: After successfully defending the GT2 drivers’ title of the American Le Mans Series with Porsche factory pilots Joerg Bergmeister and Patrick Long, the team based in Sonoma (California) will be back in 2011. Team owner Seth Neimann again fields two Porsche 911 GT3 RSR.

Eager to regain team championship in electric GT class
Flying Lizard Motorsports announced today preliminary details of its 2011 racing program. The Sonoma, Calif.,-based independent team will return to the American Le Mans Series presented by Tequila Patrón, fielding two Porsche 911 GT3 RSRs – the No. 45 and No. 44 – in the GT class for the nine-race season.

Gaps less than a tenth of a second in LMPC, GTC
Seeing a Porsche out front at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca is nothing new. Klaus Graf set the fastest time in Thursday’s test session for the American Le Mans Series Monterey presented by Patrón. He set his best lap of 1:15.444 in the Muscle Milk Team CytoSport Porsche RS Spyder, a car that has had tremendous success at the circuit on the Monterey Peninsula.

Pagenaud’s last-lap pass beats Lola-Aston Martin
Simon Pagenaud and Patrón Highcroft Racing won a titanic battle with Aston Martin Racing’s Adrian Fernandez to win the Tequila Patrón American Le Mans Series at Long Beach on Saturday with a last-lap pass in his HPD ARX-01c. The young Frenchman beat Fernandez across the line by 0.353 seconds.

de Ferran rode into the sunset with a victory in his final race Saturday
Patrón Highcroft Racing had its own special ride as well at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca to close the 2009 American Le Mans Series. De Ferran and Simon Pagenaud won the Monterey Sports Car Championships presented by Patrón after the retiring Brazilian legend’s thrilling duel with Adrian Fernandez in the final 30 minutes of the four-hour classic.
