Pat Richard (Squamish, BC) and Alan Ockwell (Toronto) of Subaru Rally Team Canada claimed victory at the Rally of the Tall Pines.
“It’s nice to see this result for the team,” said Richard. “The guys have been working so hard for so long. It’s been about a year and a bit without a win, so it’s a good change.”

Eight Subaru entrants finish in the top ten
The road to the podium was filled with plenty of unexpected twists and turns for Subaru Rally Team Canada driver Pat Richard and co-driver Leanne Junnila. The drama-filled Rallye Baie des Chaleurs was especially eventful for the Subaru team as they dealt with damaged lights, dodged a deer and recovered from a rear suspension failure, costing the duo five minutes of critical time.

To keep title fight alive
The Subaru Rally Team Canada pairing of Pat Richard (Squamish, B.C.) and Alan Ockwell (Toronto) won the 2009 Pacific Forest Rally, the fifth round of the Canadian Rally Championship presented by Subaru and supported by Yokohama. Mixed conditions in the hills surrounding the Nicola Valley took a toll on both teams and cars, with battles raging all through the order.

Teams competing in the Canadian Rally Championship, presented by Subaru and supported by Yokohama Tire, will be heading west to Merritt, British Columbia for the fifth event in its six round series. For some, it could be the last chance to mount a challenge for the championship title.

Subaru teams claim all three podium positions
Subaru Rally Team Canada driver Pat Richard and co-driver Alan Ockwell, have won the 2009 Baie des Chaleurs rally. It was a record third win for Richard at Baie des Chaleurs – widely considered to be one of the most challenging events of the Canadian Rally Championship season – and puts the team alone at the top of the 2009 standings.

The Canadian Rally Championship is set to start this weekend on the snowy roads of the Rallye Perce Neige Maniwaki, presented by Subaru and supported by Yokohama and takes place in Maniwaki, Que., north of Ottawa.

In a dramatic season finale, Pat Richard (Squamish, B.C.) and Alan Ockwell (Toronto) won the Rally of the Tall Pines in Bancroft, Ontario to clinch the 2009 Canadian Rally Championship, presented by Subaru and supported by Yokohama. 
Following the Rallye Défi held in Ste Agathe des Monts, St. Sixte, Ripon and Montpellier, Québec, where two Subaru teams reached the podium and six cars finished in the top ten. 
Subaru Canada’s return to the Canadian rally circuit in 2008 was a resounding success. 
From last position in the Pacific Forest Rally (the result of mechanical problems) to finish third-and claim first place in the 2008 Canadian Rally Championship.
