The ECKC will offer Briggs & Stratton Junior and Senior/Masters in 2013

As its 2013 season continues to take shape, the Eastern Canadian Karting Championship has news today that four-stroke racing will be back on its tracks this summer and organizers are once again firmly behind the Briggs & Stratton LO206 platform. Already well known in North America for producing the most competitive Rotax Max Challenge summer series, organizers are now looking to continue developing their four-stroke classes as well.

Aiming to cap off the Season with another win !

Quebec driver Antoine L’Estage (of St-Jean-sur-Richelieu) and his co-driver Nathalie Richard (of Halifax, Nova Scotia) will contest Bancroft, Ontario’s Rally of the Tall Pines this Saturday, as the final round of the North American Rally Cup and the Canadian Rally Championship. Having already met their goals of clinching the titles in both series, the duo head into this event without any pressure and have their eyes set on yet another victory for the Rockstar Energy Drink Rally Team.

NASCAR Canadian Tire Series: Kawartha Speedway, Ontario

It is with ardour and determination that Louis-Philippe Dumoulin will be competiting for the last time this season on Saturday September 22nd, at Kawartha Speedway, Fraserville, Ontario. This track is synonymous with success for the Quebecer as this is where he won the title 2011 Rookie of the Year, which allowed Dumoulin Competition to solidify a partnership with WeatherTech Canada.

Jesse Lazare victorious in OFFC
Newly crowned Canadian National Champion in Rotax Max Senior, Quebec based Jesse Lazare had little time to enjoy his new title before returning to action. Lazare was back behind the wheel of his www.doordoctor.com/ BGR Piper entry last weekend at Calabogie, Ontario for the OFFC championship.

GP Karts dominate 2-cycle divisions at Shannonville Motorsports Park

The Innisfil Indy/GP Canada Racing team recently travelled to Shannonville Motorsports Park, just outside of Belleville, Ontario for round four of the 2012 Brian Stewart Racing Karting Championship. The event also played host to the annual Grand National Bear Hunt, drawing drivers from all over Ontario and Quebec. Competing in mainly two-cycle classes, GP Karts took home an impressive four Grand National Bears, dominating the Rotax and Shifter classes.

Intense competition builds excitement for race 2, Borgeat captures second win
The scenic Circuit Mont-Tremblant in the Laurentian mountains of Quebec played host this past weekend to the Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge Canada by Michelin for the Summer Classic. The mountainside facility proved to be uphill for some and downhill for others in during the two races this weekend, where the intense racing saw several heated battles for dominance and track position.

Third victory in four tries at home track
D.J. Kennington took advantage of some misfortune by J.R. Fitzpatrick and went to Victory Lane for the second time in as many weeks as he won the EMCO 200 presented by Niagara Plumbing Supply and McKeough Supply in NASCAR Canadian Tire Series action on Saturday at Delaware Speedway.

At the wheel of the n°47 WeatherTech Canada/ Bellemare, Louis-Philippe Dumoulin will be on track this June 23rd at Delaware Speedway, Ontario for the second oval circuit of the 2012 NASCAR Canadian Tire Series season. After last weeks’ race, at which the Quebec driver lead during eight laps and competed with the leading group for 50 laps, adjustments have been made to the car in order to prevent premature use of the brakes.

The exciting all-motorcycle weekend slated for both the drag strip, as well as the new road course, rolled along smoothly under a mix of thunderstorms and brilliant sunny skies with hot summer temperatures.

2012 Scnocross World Champion Tim Tremblay to compete at the Grand Prix of Valcourt
It was a last minute decision, but the defending Grand Prix of Valcourt snocross champion was almost a scratch for the 30th consecutive running of the great Quebec winter motorsports classic. Tim Tremblay, the Lac Saint-Jean area native who moved to the USA in order to pursue his passion in the powerful ISOC Snocross Championship, added another feather to his cap by winning the prestigious 2012 Snocross World Championship last January in Eagle River, Wisconsin.
