Ocean Racing Technology was established in late 2008
Ocean Racing Technology, owned by OCEANATIONAL MOTOR SA and led by Tiago Monteiro and Jose Guedes, will not be taking part in the upcoming 2013 GP2 Championship season. After four seasons in the GP2 Series, three in GP2 Asia and a season in GP3, the Portuguese team made the decision following the lack of financial support that had been agreed upon with the Portuguese State and Parkalgar.

Briton on top step as Italian celebrates with his team
Max Chilton has claimed his second win of the season in hot and humid conditions in this afternoon’s feature race in Singapore, leading home Esteban Gutiérrez and Fabio Leimer, while Davide Valsecchi wrapped up the championship by running home just ahead of his title rival Luiz Razia in fourth and fifth positions.

Title decider!
Two weeks ago, Monza was truly an Italian fest with Luca Filippi winning on his comeback drive and Davide Valsecchi savouring another victory whilst pocketing more valuable points, with his sole title rival Luiz Razia failing to score. The DAMS driver now enjoys a twenty-five point lead over the Brazilian as the paddock flies to its last event of the 2012 season.

Briton on top in free practice
Max Chilton has opened his weekend in fine style by setting the pace in this morning’s free practice session in Monza, leading from the front as he put himself at the top of the timesheets for most of the session and finishing four tenths ahead of Felipe Nasr and Luca Filippi.

The title race is on!
Last week in Spa, the tenth round of the 2012 GP2 Series™ season was not short of action and drama. It was a weekend of firsts: Rio Haryanto surprised the rest of the field and stormed to a maiden pole position. On the Saturday, it was Marcus Ericsson’s turn to shine as he pocketed his first win of the season whilst on the following day Josef Kral finally enjoyed a maiden GP2 victory.

Swiss driver leads the way in the wet
Fabio Leimer has got the season restarted in fine style by claiming the top spot in this morning’s very wet free practice session at Spa Francorchamps, ignoring the miserable conditions to lead home Nigel Melker and Johnny Cecotto by almost a second in a red flag affected session.

At the invitation of Tiago Monteiro and José Guedes, the Vice President of Renault, Carlos Antunes Tavares, paid a private visit to the Portuguese team’s facilities in Valongo, Oceanational Motor SA. The Ocean Racing Technology team takes part in the GP2 and GP3 Championship Series, both of which feed into the FIA Formula One World Championship.

Mexican claims third win of the season
Esteban Gutiérrez dominated this morning’s sprint race in Budapest with a storming drive from pole, leading from lights to flag to claim his third victory of the season and put himself on the top step of the podium ahead of Nathanaël Berthon and series leader Luiz Razia.

Carlin’s Antonio Felix Da Costa becomes first driver in GP3 history to claim double victory
This is one weekend Portuguese driver Antonio Felix Da Costa won’t forget in hurry. After winning Race 1 yesterday, the Carlin driver started from eighth on the grid in a race dominated by strategy. He fought his way impressively through the field in the latter stages to produce a magical win, becoming the first driver in GP3 history to achieve a double victory during the race weekend. Patric Niederhauser (Jenzer Motorsport) and Tamas Pal Kiss (Atech CRS GP) finished second and third.

Carlin’s Antonio Felix Da Costa wins in style at the Hungaroring
The smile couldn’t be bigger on Antonio Felix Da Costa’s face. After starting from P2 on the grid, the Portuguese ace made the perfect getaway to claim the lead and set off into the distance to claim a very welcome 25 points, plus a further two for fastest lap. After the nightmare of two non-scores in Hockenheim for the Carlin driver, Hungary has been a happy hunting ground so far for Felix Da Costa. Daniel Abt (Lotus GP) and Mitch Evans (MW Arden) finished second and third.
