A new setting and an exceptional show to highlight the third edition
F1 Grand Prix du Canada “The Grand Evening”: Festive Montreal Summer at Its Best, returning Thursday June 7. On Thursday, June 7, Montreal will once again play host to the most exclusive event of the summer’s social calendar with the presentation of “The Grand Evening”, the official opening event of the 2012 Grand Prix du Canada, which will benefit local charities.

Octane Motorsports events opens up office at City Center Airport
François Dumontier, President of Octane Motorsports Events Inc, promoter of the Edmonton Indy, is proud to announce the opening of Octane’s Western Canada office in Edmonton and the appointment of two key members of its team. Tamara Fahlman, Director of Communications, and Daryl Zelinski, Sales & Business Development Agent, have hit the ground running and joined Octane’s team of 25 employees.

Bernard Ecclestone and Michael Fortier to be Honorary Co-Chair of the event
Following the resounding success of last year’s inaugural edition, the Grand Prix du Canada announced today the return of the gala “The Grand Evening”. The exclusive social event, which will once again this year serve as the inaugural soirée of the 2011 Grand Prix du Canada, will be held on Thursday, June 9 at Windsor Station’s Salle des Pas Perdus.

Edmonton Indy tickets on sale this Friday
Cheaper 3-day grandstands tickets on sale this Friday for the 2011 IZOD IndyCar Series Edmonton Indy at City Center Airport. With a completely newly designed racecourse, a much simplified ticket price chart including reduced tabs for all three-day tickets in closer to the action grandstands, the 2011 Edmonton Indy will be totally fan-driven, explained today at a media lunch held in Edmonton, François Dumontier, President of Octane Motorsports Events Inc., the new promoter of the event.

Kaven Benoît shines among Quebec riders by winning the MX2 class
In front of a highly-charged crowd at the Olympic Stadium, veteran American Yamaha rider Nick Wey from Michigan won the 33rd running of the Supermotocross Monster Energy presented by Coors Light and Parts Canada/Thor held Saturday night in Montréal. Two other American riders, Teddy Maier and Troy Adams, both on Kawasakis finished second and third. But the MX2 finale really got the crowd on its feet as Quebec KTM rider Kaven Benoît won in spectacular fashion.

Veteran rider Paul Smith to coordinate the program on Saturday October 2
The ever-spectacular Freestyle Motocross (FMX) program of the Supermotocross Monster Energy presented by Coors Light and Parts Canada/Thor, will innovate this year as the event organizers of the most popular sporting event of the fall in Quebec, have hired Canadian veteran rider Paul Smith to choreograph and direct the FMX contest.

Great Canadian Champion and Technical Director of the event now becomes its official spokesman
The most popular sport event of the fall in Québec, the Supermotocross Monster Energy presented by Coors Light and Parts Canada/Thor, to be held October 2 at the Montréal Olympic Stadium, announced today that Canadian motocross champion Jean-Sébastien Roy, has accepted and will assume an additional role with the organizing team.

As of now, the great fall extravaganza that will, on October 2, bring together close to 50,000 motocross fans at the Montreal Olympic Stadium will be known as the Supermotocross Monster Energy presented by Coors Light and Parts Canada/Thor.

An agreement covering the years 2010-2014
Octane Racing Group Incorporated (Octane), of Montréal, is proud to announce that it has reached an agreement with Formula One Administration Limited and Formula One World Championship Limited (together the F1 Commercial Rights Holder) to act as promoter of the FORMULA 1 GRAND PRIX DU CANADA as a round of the FIA Formula One World Championship in each of the years 2010 to 2014.

NASCAR Sprint Cup race postponed to Monday 
It is now official. NASCAR management just confirmed that the Sprint Cup race in Watkins Glen is postponed until tomorrow.
Tickets go on sale Wednesday June 17 at 10 a.m. for the 32nd edition of the Montréal Supermotocross, presented by Coors Lights and Parts Canada.
