The promoter did not renew its agreement with NASCAR

Octane Management inc. confirmed today that it has relinquished its rights to organize and promote a round of the NASCAR Nationwide series in Montreal in 2013. Consequently, the event known as the NAPA Auto Parts 200 presented by Dodge is not scheduled for presentation at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve, next summer.







Joey Logano leads 184 of 200 laps in winning his seventh Nationwide Series race of the season and completing the season sweep at Dover.


















Kyle Busch has set a single-season record for wins in the Nationwide Series, taking the checkered flag for the 11th time in only 23 races Saturday at Dover International Speedway. Busch was tied with Sam Ard for the previous record with 10 wins. Busch also won 10 races in 2008, matching the record Ard set in NASCAR’s second-tier series in 1983.
Carl Edwards continued to build toward the Chase for the Sprint Cup with a pole-winning run Friday at Richmond International Raceway. Edwards will start from the top spot in Saturday’s Air Guard 400, the final race before the Chase begins at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. With a lap at 127.762 mph (21.133 seconds), Edwards edged Juan Montoya (127.455 mph) in winning his first pole at the three-quarters-mile short track.
