NASCAR Drive For Diversity initiative building off historic season
NASCAR and Rev Racing announced today the six drivers that will compete for Rev Racing in the 2012 season. The announcement was made during the preseason NASCAR Sprint Media Tour hosted by Charlotte Motor Speedway stop at the NASCAR Hall of Fame in Charlotte, where the drivers were introduced.

Andrew Ranger finishes 22nd in K&N Pro Series East event
On Saturday, two-time NASCAR Canadian Tire Series Champion Andrew Ranger turned the fastest lap of the 34-car field in the NASCAR K&N PRO Series West event held at Miller Motorsport Park earning the Coors Light Pole Award. Subsequently, in the race, he finished 20th with two laps down to the winner after leading 17 of the 63 laps race.

Learner’s permit eligibility also expanded in other NASCAR Series
NASCAR announced today it has lowered the minimum age for drivers competing in its regional touring series to 15. The change, effective immediately, will be applied to drivers in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East and West, NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour, NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour and NASCAR Canadian Tire Series.

Several international drivers taking part in special event

Sets track record en route to season’s third pole
Andrew Ranger claimed the pole position for Sunday’s GP3R 100 in NASCAR Canadian Tire Series presented by Mobil 1 qualifying at Circuit de Trois-Rivieres in record fashion for his first series start since July 17 in Toronto.
Car owner Steve McGowan has teamed two veteran stock car drivers with a newcomer to the NASCAR K&N Pro Series for this year’s NASCAR Toyota All-Star Showdown.
The first official entries have been filed for the NASCAR Toyota All-Star Showdown and it looks like it will be a busy event for Jonathon Gomez. 
Andrew Ranger took one bump that nearly cost him the win and gave it right back to grab the checkered flag in the NAPA AUTOPRO 100 Sunday.
