CTV, Canada’s most-watched television network for the past 10 years in a row, is broadcasting the 2013 NASCAR Canadian Tire Series presented by Mobil 1 season opener for the first time live from Canadian Tire Motorsport Park on Sunday, May 19.

The experienced Roxton Pond (QC) driver will race in two Quebec rounds of the 2013 NASCAR Canadian Tire Series (NCaTS), at ICAR on July 7 and at Trois-Rivières on August 11, as a teammate to Ray Courtemanche Jr, aboard a second car prepared by Jacombs Racing. The project is backed La Cité de Mirabel Inc.

La Cité de Mirabel inc., a $500M residential project featuring more than 2000 units has decided to lend its financial support to Ray Courtemanche Jr. for the upcoming NASCAR Canadian Tire Series (NCaTS) season. And there is more – as famous car preparation specialist and Crew Chief Dave Jacombs has signed on to prepare Ray Jr’s oval and road course cars, as well as provide trackside support.

Driver of the #17 Castrol Edge Dodge DJ Kennington was recognized for his superb season this past weekend at the annual NASCAR Night of Champions Awards Gala. The event took place at the NASCAR Hall of Fame in Charlotte, NC and Kennington along with the race team were acknowledged for their tremendous season in which they set records for most victories and most top five finishes in a single season and Kennington claimed his second NASCAR Canadian Tire Series title.
