Both drivers talk about their fondness for the Montréal event
While Marcos Ambrose is planning his flights to and from Michigan, Robbie Gordon announces his return to the NAPA Auto Parts 200 Presented by Dodge. The event promoter learned today that fan favourite Robbie Gordon will enter the upcoming NAPA Auto Parts 200 presented by Dodge which will be held August 19-20 at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve.

After announcing last March the decision not to compete in the Canadian Touring Car Championship due to new series technical regulations, rule modifications convinced the Quebec driver Mathieu Audette to return to the series this season with his Dimensions Door/Novatech Acura RSX Type-S. In order to best prepare themselves for their limited race program, Mathieu and the Audette Racing Team will contest this weekend’s Mont-Tremblant Spring Classic, giving them a chance to test their car during this non-championship race.

Caitlin Johnston of Orangeville, Ontario returned to action in the NASCAR Canadian Tire series in the #01 Pizza Pizza Dodge this past weekend for round number ten at Montreal’s famed Circuit Gilles Villeneuve. And with each session the team improved upon their performance.

Hard-Luck Australian Confirms His Return To The NAPA Auto Parts 200 Presented by Dodge
Marcos Ambrose: “I will come to Montreal. . . as often as it takes for me to win here”. Marcos Ambrose, one of the good-natured drivers on the NASCAR circuit who, since 2007, has come close to winning each of the three times he competed at the NAPA Auto Parts 200 Presented by Dodge, confirmed his return for the 2010 running of the event on August 28-29 at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve.

CJM Racing gets back on track with a season high finish of third in Montreal
NASCAR went international over the weekend and with the trip north of the border, CJM Racing turned their luck around. Native Canadian driver, Andrew Ranger was enlisted to drive the No. 11 RIDEMAKERZ Toyota and the young driver would not disappoint. With top speeds in practice, a top-10 qualifying run and the team’s first top-five finish of the season; the trip to Montreal proved to be a success and a long awaited one.

A successful ”Open House Day” at Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve
There was an excellent response to the invitation made by Francois Dumontier and Stock Car Montreal to visit the site where the NAPA 200 Nationwide race will take place Sunday. Admission was free for all racing fans today.

About fifteen drivers including Andrew Ranger and Alexandre Tagliani who will have double duty this coming weekend at Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve to participate in the two main NASCAR events, the NAPA 100 in the NASCAR Canadian Tire and NAPA 200 in the Nationwide Series.

The professional situation of the double NASCAR Canadian Tire champion, Andrew Ranger, is not getting any better lately prior to the 2010 racing season and he stills does not know where and if he will race next season. 
Official confirmation of Canada’s return to the formula one calendar for 2010 is expected this week, according to the French-language La Presse newspaper. 
Following his stunning win via a last-turn pass of Marcos Ambrose last Sunday in Montreal, Carl Edwards (No. 60 Save A Lot Ford) made what seems like an obvious sports-related comment: “Just goes to show you should never give up. Anything can happen.” 
The sun is back this Sunday morning at Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve on Ile Notre-Dame for the presentation of the third edition of the NASCAR Nationwide NAPA 200 that will be preceeded by the NASCAR Canadian Tire NAPA 100.
The Australian driver was the first car on the track in the first group of six cars for qualifying in a drizzling rain and turned it into pole position Saturday for the NAPA 200 NASCAR Nationwide series race. 
The actual leader in the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series and winner of the last two edition of the Grand Prix de Trois-Rivières is back in Quebec after participating in two days of private practice in Kershaw, South Carolina. 
The management of the NASCAR Nationwide published the list of registered teams and drivers for the third edition of the NAPA 200 race to be held at Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve this coming weekend on Ile Notre-Dame in Montreal.
