Patrick Carpentier will return to the NASCAR circuit next weekend driving Frank Stoddard Jr’s #32 Ford at Kansas Speedway. The Canadian driver, who now lives in Las Vegas, has confirmed that he will compete in his first NASCAR Sprint Cup race of the year on June 5 at the 1.5-mile (2.414 km) banked oval, round 13 of the 2011 schedule.

Two-time winner of the Daytona 500, TV personality, and now a highly successful NASCAR car owner, Michael Waltrip has been tapped to take on the role of event Grand Marshal for the eighth running of NASCAR’s Toyota All-Star Showdown. Set for Friday, January 28 and Saturday, January 29, the annual champion’s event takes place at Toyota Speedway in Irwindale, California.
