Mixed results for AIM Autosport in New Jersey

There were mixed results for AIM Autosport’s Formula Mazda drivers this afternoon as they competed in the first of two races at New Jersey Motorsports Park. After a morning qualifying session, round 8 of the Star Mazda Championship presented by Goodyear started at 3:00pm. A total of 29 laps were run during the 45-minute timed race.

Court Vernon tests with World Speed Motorsports
MAZDASPEED Motorsports Development driver Court Vernon spent the day testing with World Speed
At the team’s headquarters at Infineon Raceway. Vernon was one of World Speed’s Rising Star Award winners for 2009. “Court did a great job all day, and that wasn’t easy as the conditions were not optimal,” stated World Speed Team Manager John Olsen.
Bliss, a 44-year old native of Portland, Ore., has 476 combined starts in NASCAR’S three national series with 15 wins, 89 top-five finishes and 181 top-10s. Nov 27

Sage Karam tests Pro Formula Mazda with World Speed Motorsports
Multiple championship winning karter visits California based Star Mazda team. Sage Karam the 14 year old karting phenom from Nazareth Pennsylvania came to World Speed headquarters in Sonoma, CA on Monday to get fitted to a Pro Formula Mazda. At the Skip Barber awards banquet Karam was chosen as one of the recipients of this year’s World Speed Rising Star Award.

CJM Racing produces their first top-5 of the season
CJM Racing gets back on track with a season high finish of third in Montreal
NASCAR went international over the weekend and with the trip north of the border, CJM Racing turned their luck around. Native Canadian driver, Andrew Ranger was enlisted to drive the No. 11 RIDEMAKERZ Toyota and the young driver would not disappoint. With top speeds in practice, a top-10 qualifying run and the team’s first top-five finish of the season; the trip to Montreal proved to be a success and a long awaited one.
Unfortunately for the crowd and drivers, due to a wet track caused by earlier rain and time required to dry up the track, we have not seen a lot of the Nationwide cars in this second day of preparation for the NAPA 200. 
They communicate just as they would on the race track, depressing a button on the steering wheel as they barrel into a corner at 160 mph.
