Michael Lewis is a special character
Born in Laguna Beach (USA), Michael has seen a lot of the world, racing in the America’s, Asia and Europe. Being selected for the FIA Young Driver Excellence Academy was already an honour, but also opened his eyes to a whole new dimension of motorsport. With American ambition and European dedication, Lewis now carries out the message of safety and driver responsability to competitors in a variety of series.

Lewis (Prema Powerteam) was delighted with his maiden race win in the Formula 3 Euro Series at the 4.005 kilometres long Circuit Ricardo Tormo near Valencia
After 14 race laps, the American crossed the finish line 0.643 seconds ahead of rookie driver Sven Müller (Prema Powerteam). Pascal Wehrlein (Mücke Motorsport) took the flag in third place. Daniel Juncadella (Prema Powerteam) remains on top in the drivers’ standings, the Spaniard finished seventh in the sprint race. Pascal Wehrlein moved up into second place.

Carlos Sainz (Carlin), who, like Juncadella, is a regular from the Formula 3 Euro Series, finished third.
Daniel Juncadella (Prema Powerteam) finished second in the first race at the 6.968 kilometres long Spa-Francorchamps circuit. As race winner Felix Serralles (Fortec Motorsport) hasn’t been registered for the FIA European Formula 3 Championship, Juncadella scores the maximum number of 25 points in the eleventh round of the FIA European Formula 3 European Championship.

Second day of testing
Auto GP closed today in Magione its post-season promotional test: after a first day that saw 19 drivers go on track, also the second day of testing proved to be a success with 16 drivers behind the wheel of the Auto GP cars and some very interesting new entries, one of which came after a last-minute agreement: swiss racer Alex Fontana, the 2011 European F3 Open champion, was a welcome addition to an already very competitive field, driving with TP Formula.

18 drivers are on track today in Magione for the first day of the Auto GP promotional test.
It’s a really varied line-up for both what concerns experience and nationality, given that the Italian tarmac hosted drivers from seven different countries, with three Champions among them. Campos Racing went on track with the Italian Superstars Champion Alberto Cerqui and Facundo Regalia, F3 racer from Argentina.

For Rounds 5 and 6 of the Series
American driver Michael Lewis experienced mixed fortunes this past weekend as the Formula BMW Championship rolled into Valencia for Rounds 5 and 6. Michael and his two Eurointernational teammates, Carlos Sainz Jr. and Daniil Kvyat, were eagerly anticipating the opportunity to tackle this challenging street circuit located in the heart of the Spanish city.

Autocon Motorsports return to Le Mans 24 Hours as the sole US representative in LMP this year. To famous Formula 1 Hungaroring circuit at Formula BMW collective test
On his inaugural visit to the legendary Hungaroring circuit in Budapest, Hungary, Michael Lewis got up to speed quickly at the Formula BMW Collective Test Session on Tuesday and Wednesday, May 25 and 26, by setting the fastest time at one of the four sessions.

A strong contingent of primary and associate sponsors have made the commitment
The sponsors will join American Michael Lewis as he competes with the Eurointernational team in the 2010 Formula BMW Europe series, which kicks off in just one week at Barcelona, Spain, May 8–9. All of the 2010 Formula BMW Europe race events will be held in conjunction with Formula 1 race weekends except Rounds 3 and 4 in Zandvoort, The Netherlands.

All in advance of Winter Test and season-opener at Sebring
Lola is pleased to release details of its much anticipated development upgrades to the successful LMP1 and LMP2 designs. The newly titled B10/60 LMP1 Coupe sees significant upgrades in both mechanical and aerodynamic areas. The Lola LMP cars are set to race on both sides of the Atlantic in 2010, as well as at the 78th running of the Le Mans 24 Hours in June.

2009 was certainly a breakout season for EuroInternational’s Giancarlo Vilarinho
Giancarlo Vilarinho won a series-high seven wins in his second season of Formula BMW competition. The Brazilian having shown good speed at times in his rookie campaign, took a big jump forward in his second-year of Formula BMW Americas competition, becoming the driver to beat for the majority of the season.

Colombian racing sensation Oscar Tunjo showed just what he is made off as he stormed from the back of the grid in both Oscar Tunjoraces at the Sepang International Circuit (SIC) today to finish sixth in the afternoon and evening sessions.
