Richard Foley to be inducted to “Canadian Motorsport Hall of Fame”
Saturday night in Toronto
Following his participation as honorary flagman at the NAPA 100 last summer, held at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve on Ile Notre-Dame, now Richard “Dick” Foley will be inducted into the “Canadian Motorsport Hall of Fame” next Saturday in Toronto along with other Canadians and Michael Andretti ( in international category). The 18th edition of the CMHOF gala is expected to be attended by over 300 guests.

An extra oval race has been added to the 2012 IZOD IndyCar Series calendar
With the confirmation that the championship will return to the Milwaukee Mile on June 16.The IZOD IndyCar Series has gained an additional event for 2012, with confirmation that the series will be returning to the Milwaukee Mile oval track in mid-June after all.

India and Red Bull collect wins for F1 at awards
Formula one has collected two category wins at this year’s Professional Motor Sport World Expo awards.
India’s new Buddh circuit won in the best circuit category, while Red Bull’s title-winning RB7 took the plaudit for car of the year. The winners were decided by a judging panel including figures such as Gary Anderson, Michael Andretti and Pascal Vasselon, and announced during a ceremony in Cologne.

There was much uncertainty heading into Indianapolis 500 Bump Day qualifying last weekend as to who would be in the 33-car field for this year’s race and who would be left on the sidelines. Some may have thought that Conquest Racing, with not just one but two rookie drivers, may end up on the outside looking in. But at the end of the day, Conquest may have surprised some with its pair of rookies outpacing some highly skilled veterans and assuring themselves a start in their first Indianapolis 500.

All Cooper Tires Presents The Atlantic Championship Powered by Mazda teams and drivers participating in the promoter test day at Road Atlanta on Tuesday, September 22 will have the opportunity to test Cosworth Power To Pass in the day’s first session. The session will run from 9:45 to 10:15 a.m. ET.
