The McGregor logo now appears on the CT03 2013 race cars and across all of the Caterham F1 Team’s branding platforms.
Caterham F1 Team launched its CT03 2013 racecar on the first day of testing and one addition to the car’s striking new livery is McGregor, the Dutch fashion company that traces its roots back to New York in 1921, which has joined the team as an Official Partner.
CT03, Caterham F1 Team’s 2013 race car, was unveiled in the pitlane of the Circuito de Jerez, Spain, on day one of the first official 2013 pre-season test.
The car was revealed by the team’s race drivers Charles Pic, who will race in car #20, and Giedo van der Garde who will be in car #21 for the forthcoming season. The 2013 car has technical features that distinguish it from its predecessor, CT01, and it will race in an updated livery which sees the team’s green and yellow paint-scheme refreshed and lightened for the season ahead.
Caterham has ended the long wait over its second race driver for 2013, but uncertainty still reigns regarding Force India’s choice.
Ending the hopes of the team’s 2012 lineup Heikki Kovalainen and Vitaly Petrov, Caterham said Dutchman Giedo van der Garde will be Charles Pic’s teammate. “I want to thank (team boss) Cyril (Abiteboul), Tony Fernandes, (sponsor) McGregor and everyone who has worked so hard to make this happen,” said van der Garde.
Giedo van der Garde has admitted to surprise at his inclusion in Caterham’s test plans this week.
Originally, the former Lotus team scheduled the four days of the Jerez session to be split evenly between Heikki Kovalainen and Jarno Trulli. Italian veteran Trulli, however, has been shunted from Thursday’s schedule in favour of van der Garde, the Dutch former GP2 driver who has been signed as Caterham’s 2012 reserve.

The news is a big blow to the independent team.
