Intercontinental Rally Challenge, round 11 of 11
Andreas Mikkelsen has become the youngest driver to win the Intercontinental Rally Challenge after claiming victory on the season-closing Cyprus Rally. Amid emotional scenes captured live on Eurosport, Mikkeslen secured the title by one and a half points from Jan Kopecky, sealing glory by going fastest on the final stage alongside co-driver Ola Floene.

Andreas Mikkelsen has vowed to go on “maximum attack” when he contests the inaugural Love Cyprus Golden Stage Rally on Sunday 7 November.
The event, which takes place the day following the FxPro Cyprus Rally, the 12th and final round of the 2010 Intercontinental Rally Challenge from 4-6 November, features a mixed-surface, 25-kilometre stage run twice. In addition to live television coverage on Eurosport and Cypriot channel Lumiere TV, the contest will carry a combined prize fund of 150,000 Euros.

Sata Rallye Acores leg one report
Two tenths of a second will cover the top three cars when Sata Rallye Acores, round seven of the Intercontinental Rally Challenge, resumes today (Friday). After the opening three stages, title leader Juho Hanninen holds a 0.2s advantage over Bruno Magalhaes with Andreas Mikkelsen tied on time with the Portuguese driver. The trio claimed a stage victory apiece as the gravel event on the Atlantic archipelago got off to a thrilling start.
