The Série ACT Castrol is done for 2012
St-Denis, Quebec’s Patrick Laperle claimed his second straight Série ACT Castrol Championship with his fourth win of the season in the St-Eustache 300 at Autodrome St-Eustache on Sunday, September 16. Laperle cruised to the win leading the final 50 laps of the event after getting by Jonathan Bouvrette who held on for second.

Fellow Quebecer Karl Allard took second while Joey Polewarczyk, Jr. was the highest finishing ACT US competitor in third.
Dany Trepanier of St-Edouard, Quebec led the Série ACT Castrol team to a dominate win in the fifth annual “Showdown at Chaudiere 200” at Autodrome Chaudiere on Sunday, September 9. Trepanier earned $5,000 for the win plus the Castrol team picked up the $500 bonus for each of it team members with the overall win.

Patrick Laperle and Dany Trepanier complete the Montmagny 150 podium
Quebec City’s Jean-François Déry claimed his third Série ACT Castrol win of the season in the Montmagny 150 at Autodrome Montmagny on Saturday, September 1. Déry inherited the lead on lap 124 after leader Patrick Laperle had a wheel break on the right front. Déry held off Dany Trepanier for two more restarts to take the win, while Laperle recovered to finish third.

American Canadian Tour point-leader Wayne Helliwell, Jr. of Dover, NH beat the rain and nearly 40 other competitors to claim the victory at Sanair Super Speedway in St-Pie, QC on Sunday, August, 12. Helliwell was hunted by eight-time Champion Brian Hoar who finished on his tail in second, and young sensation Austin Theriault to complete the podium. Rowley, MA’s Eddie Macdonald took fourth, and former Serie ACT Castrol Champion Karl Allard rounded out the top five.

St-Denis, QC’s Patrick Laperle dominated on his way to his second straight Série ACT Castrol win at Autodrome Chaudiere on Friday, August 3.
The defending Castrol Champion lapped all but the top five of the 18 car field, while leading the final 111 laps of the 150 lap event. Former Castrol Champion Karl Allard jumped out to the point from the outside pole after the initial green. However, his lead was short lived as Donald Theetge used the outside line to take over the lead on lap 9.

Dery, Allard charge to podium finishes
Defending Serie ACT Castrol Champion Patrick Laperle surged for his second win of 2012 at his home track of Autodrome St-Eustache (QC) on Saturday, July 28th. Laperle had to fend off former champion Karl Allard in the closing laps, as well as point leader Jean-Francois Dery who was spoiled in search of his third win in a row on the Serie ACT Castrol.

ACT veteran pockets one of the biggest checks in 250 history
American Canadian Tour star Joey Polewarczyk, Jr. of Hudson, NH dominated the 39th Annual Oxford 250 at Oxford (ME) Plains Speedway on Sunday, July 22nd. The ACT veteran wheeled his Ford-powered Pole’s Automotive machine to one of the biggest paydays in Oxford 250 history at $45,500, while leading over 200 laps.

Série ACT Castrol Montmagny 200 postponed
The event has been rescheduled for Sunday, July 1 with a post time of 1:00pm. The Montmagny 200 is the fourth event on the 2012 Série ACT Castrol. Point leader Donald Theetge of Boischatel, QC will attempt to earn his third straight Castrol win on Sunday after winning the last two events at Autodrome Chaudiere and Circuit Riverside Speedway.

Donald Theetge of Boischatel, QC earned his second straight Série ACT Castrol win at Circuit Riverside Speedway in St-Croix, QC on Saturday, June 16.
Theetge was the class of the field all day and worked his way from the 12th starting position for the win. He held off the likes of former Castrol Champions Patrick Laperle and Karl Allard over several caution periods during the 100 lap event. It was Theetge’s 18th career Série ACT Castrol win, which keeps him atop the all-time wins list.

He had to earn it by fending off two-time and defending Série ACT Castrol Champion Patrick Laperle, and early leader Jean-François Déry who finished third.

Hudson, New Hampshire’s Joey Polewarczyk, Jr. claimed the American-Canadian Tour Rent-A-Wreck Fall Foliage 200 win at Airborne Speedway in Plattsburgh, New York on Saturday, October 8. Polewarczyk claimed his first ACT point race win of the season in the combination ACT Tour and Série ACT Castrol event.

U.S. Team Takes Fourth Straight Overall
Seven-time ACT Tour Champion Brian Hoar of Williston, VT dominated the fourth annual “Showdown at Chaudiere” and led the U.S. team to the overall win and the $500 bonus per U.S. team. Hoar led every one of the 200 laps at Autodrome Chaudiere in Vallee, Jct., QC on Saturday, September 10. He held off several Canadian teams including Jean-François Déry and Karl Allard early, before outrunning Patrick Laperle in the final laps.

The former Série ACT Castrol Champion scored his first win of the 2011 season and 15th career win. Theetge also won his heat race while on just seven cylinders due to a rocker. Theetge’s crew changed the broken part in time to start eighth in the 23 car field.

Descoste was never seriously contested in the last half of the race
Veteran Série ACT Castrol competitor Daniel Descoste of St-Joseph-du-Lac, Quebec earned his first career win on the series in the St-Eustache 100 at Autodrome St-Eustache in St-Eustache, Quebec. Descoste worked his way by 2010 Série ACT Castrol Champion Karl Allard on lap 66 and was never seriously contested in the remainder of the 100 lap event.
