Ocean Racing Technology was established in late 2008
Ocean Racing Technology, owned by OCEANATIONAL MOTOR SA and led by Tiago Monteiro and Jose Guedes, will not be taking part in the upcoming 2013 GP2 Championship season. After four seasons in the GP2 Series, three in GP2 Asia and a season in GP3, the Portuguese team made the decision following the lack of financial support that had been agreed upon with the Portuguese State and Parkalgar.

German team given entry for 2013
GP2 Series organisers are pleased to announce that Hilmer Motorsport have been allocated an entry for the 2013 season. The German squad whose Team Principal Franz Hilmer already owns Formtech GmbH – a supplier for several Formula One teams – joins the thirteen team field in replacement of Ocean Racing Technology.

At the invitation of Tiago Monteiro and José Guedes, the Vice President of Renault, Carlos Antunes Tavares, paid a private visit to the Portuguese team’s facilities in Valongo, Oceanational Motor SA. The Ocean Racing Technology team takes part in the GP2 and GP3 Championship Series, both of which feed into the FIA Formula One World Championship.

Portuguese Team debut in Barcelona
After the official announcement of the participation of the Portuguese team in the GP3 Series, is now time to announce two of the drivers who will integrate the structure: the Spanish Carmen Jorda experienced in F3 championships and Robert Cregan that recently debuted in V8 Supercars.

Portuguese team takes over from Tech 1 Racing
GP3 Series organisers are pleased to announce that Ocean Racing Technology will take over from Tech 1 Racing in 2012. The Portuguese team has been involved in GP2 Series since 2009 and showed a strong interest in participating in GP3 Series as well. After they reached an agreement with Tech 1 Racing, it has been decided that Ocean Racing will enter the Series for this season.

Portuguese team looking for results from the upcoming race weekends
Ocean Racing Technology is betting on a pair of highly talented drivers to dispute the GP2 Asia Series 2011 championship. Oliver Turvey and Andrea Caldarelli will be two key elements of the Portuguese challenge and will be tasked with developing the new car before the GP2 Main Series.

Buurman reunites with the Portuguese team to join Leimer
The GP2 Asia Series arrives in Bahrain this weekend for the final two rounds of the championship. On this occasion, Ocean Racing Technology will reunite with Yelmer Buurman, who raced for them twelve months ago when they first joined the series, and will now partner Fabio Leimer on the Sakhir circuit.

A young driver line-up to shine in the GP2 Main Series
Fabio Leimer and Max Chilton will form the driver duo for the Ocean Racing Technology team in the 2010 GP2 Series. In only their second year of participation in the Formula 1 feeder category, the team belonging to Tiago Monteiro and Jose Guedes is aiming to reinforce its competitiveness and speed which was proven in the 2009 Main Series. Fabio Leimer was at the wheel for Ocean Racing Technology for the opening round of the GP2 Asia Series, in Abu Dhabi last month, where he secured the 3rd best time in qualifying.
Ocean Racing Technology will go on the newly constructed Abu Dhabi circuit from October 23 for the next round of tests in preparation for the impending 2009/10 GP2 Asia Series Championship, the first races of which will be held on the same circuit just one week later.
