Eight karting drivers were invited this week to participate at the 2011 Hinchtown.com Canadian Karting Award Shootout.
The shootout took place at the Bridgestone Racing Academy in Mosport, ON on Formula 2000 open wheel cars. Amonst the invited drivers, three raced the 2011 karting season under SRA Karting colours on Birel Chassis: Zacharie Richard-Robichon (Rotax DD2), Olivier Bédard (Junior Max) and Jean-François Lafontaine (Rotax Max).

Though it seems the summer season in Canadian racing has just begun, the Eastern Canadian Karting Championship reached its halfway point on Sunday as the Rotax masses were contesting six classes at PSL Karting Trois-Rivieres. An even one hundred were on hand for race number three following a practice day Friday and a round of the Quebec Cup on Saturday.

With SRA Karting
The first round of the Florida Winter Tour was presented last weekend in Orlando Florida. With only a few tests on the new Birel equipment, SRA Karting showed lots of speed trough out the weekend and came back to Québec with two podiums, a victory for Alexandre Tagliani on Saturday and a second place on Sunday.

The first round of the Québec karting championship took place at Karting Trois-Rivières (formerly Karting Pointe-du-Lac)
Arrow drivers did very well in the classes where they raced and with better luck, they could have grabbed even more podiums. Jean-François Lafontaine obtained the best results. He dominated the F125-ICC class with a first place in each session, including the fastest lap.

Fierce competition today at Kart-O-Mania
Thirteen team took the green flag today for the ”Classic” portion of the 4 Hours Pole-Position kart race. This portion of the event is reserved to race drivers and many Quebecers were present to compete in what is becoming a yearly winter time classic gathering for friends of the sport.

The champions of the Coupe de Montréal will be crowned on November 7th in Trois-Rivières
The last round of the Coupe de Montréal championship was presented last Saturday in St-Roch-de-L’Achigan under perfect racing weather conditions. Ten classes were on the program for this final event, which totalled 120 entries.

Formules Hitech will be the authorized retailer for North America
The Mirabel International Club Academy Racing (ICAR) along with its partner Formules Hitech, introduce to the North American market the new formula car.

Jean-François Lafontaine (SRA / Arrow) and Vincent Cyr (KDM / Arrow) are the two Arrow drivers crowned « Québec Champion » last weekend in St-Roch-de-L’Achigan.
