Eight karting drivers were invited this week to participate at the 2011 Hinchtown.com Canadian Karting Award Shootout.

The shootout took place at the Bridgestone Racing Academy in Mosport, ON on Formula 2000 open wheel cars. Amonst the invited drivers, three raced the 2011 karting season under SRA Karting colours on Birel Chassis: Zacharie Richard-Robichon (Rotax DD2), Olivier Bédard (Junior Max) and Jean-François Lafontaine (Rotax Max).











Thirteen team took the green flag today for the ”Classic” portion of the 4 Hours Pole-Position kart race. This portion of the event is reserved to race drivers and many Quebecers were present to compete in what is becoming a yearly winter time classic gathering for friends of the sport.
The last round of the Coupe de Montréal championship was presented last Saturday in St-Roch-de-L’Achigan under perfect racing weather conditions. Ten classes were on the program for this final event, which totalled 120 entries.
The Mirabel International Club Academy Racing (ICAR) along with its partner Formules Hitech, introduce to the North American market the new formula car.
Jean-François Lafontaine (SRA / Arrow) and Vincent Cyr (KDM / Arrow) are the two Arrow drivers crowned « Québec Champion » last weekend in St-Roch-de-L’Achigan.
