DPR driver sets fastest laptime of post season test in Abu Dhabi
The Yas Marina Circuit hosted the fourth and last post season test day today marking the end of the 2010 campaign, but also the last run of the GP2/08 car after three thrilling seasons that crowned Italian Giorgio Pantano, German Nico Hülkenberg and Venezuelan Pastor Maldonado. In three years, teams and drivers have covered 63.500 kilometres on Bridgestone tyres.

Rapax driver goes quickest again on day 4 of post season testing at Yas Marina Circuit
It was a trouble-free test session today at Yas Marina Circuit for the third day of post season testing which saw eight drivers join ths paddock – Alexander Sims at ART Grand Prix, Brendon Hartley at Racing Engineering, Rio Haryanto at iSport International, Romain Grosjean at Dams, Davide Rigon at Rapax, Alexander Rossi at Arden International, Karun Chandhok at Ocean Racing Technology and Adrian Quaife-Hobbs at Scuderia Coloni.

Rapax driver quickest at Yas Marina Circuit in post season tests
The second day of GP2 Series post-season testing at Yas Marina Circuit saw a few changes in the drivers’ entry list with some racers switching teams and new ones joining, namely Pal Varhaug at Dams, Daniel Macinelli at Rapax, Dani Clos at Ocean Racing and Luca Filippi at Coloni.

Scuderia Coloni driver quickest on Day 1 of GP2 Series post-season test at Yas Marina Circuit
Less than two weeks after the conclusion of the 2010 season, the GP2 Series paddock flew back to Abu Dhabi to conduct four days of post-season testing. A mix of old and new faces were behind the wheels of the twenty four cars today, with six drivers coming from GP3 Series, namely Champion Esteban Gutierrez at ART Grand Prix, Vice Champion Robert Wickens at iSport, Roberto Merhi and Simon Trummer at Arden, James Jakes at Scuderia Coloni and Stefano Coletti at Trident.

Lithuanian tops timesheets as weather plays havoc in Valencia
Kazim Vasiliauskas topped the timesheets in a rain-hit FIA Formula Two Championship second practice session in Valencia today (Friday 17 September), the Lithuanian setting a storming early pace to finish almost three quarters of a second clear of the rest of the field.

Briton masters challenging conditions, with Kazim Vasiliauskas second and Jolyon Palmer third
Dean Stoneman claimed his fifth victory of the season – and the overall points lead – with a masterful drive in wet conditions at Oschersleben. In what was F2′s first wet race of the year, Stoneman made an astounding start from fifth on the grid to move into the lead by the first corner. Kazim Vasiliauskas followed him through in second, while polesitter Sergey Afanasiev suffered from wheelspin in the treacherous conditions and dropped two places to third.

Russian heads grid for race one ahead of Kazim Vasiliauskas and Nicola De Marco
Sergey Afanasiev clinched his maiden Formula Two pole with a superb late effort in first qualifying at Oschersleben. The Russian, who has started on the front row at Monza and Brands Hatch already this season, secured his first pole in the final two minutes of the session – edging out Lithuania’s Kazim Vasiliauskas by just over eight hundredths of a second.

Briton out-drags title rival Stoneman to take assured fifth victory
Jolyon Palmer reclaimed the overall lead in the 2010 FIA Formula Two Championship courtesy of an assured victory in today’s second race. Starting on the front row alongside title rival Dean Stoneman – who wrested the overall lead from Palmer just 24 hours ago – Jolyon made a superb start to out-drag Stoneman on the run down to the first corner.
