Infront Motor Sports announces that the winner of the 2012 Superbike Organiser Award is the Donington Park circuit in the UK.
F
rom a promotional, logistical and sporting point of view, the circuit guaranteed the required standards that helped the entire Superbike paddock work in the best possible way in 2012. This recognition rewards the work of a professional and motivated staff.

Laguna Seca returns to the World Superbike calendar in 2013
Marco Melandri (BMW Motorrad Motorsport) proved the fastest rider on day one at Portimao, with a 1 minute 43.196 second lap taking him ahead of Eugene Laverty (Aprilia Racing). Tom Sykes (Kawasaki Racing Team) was third, and completing a sequence of different machines in the top four places, Jonathan Rea (Honda World Superbike Team) was fourth.

Infront Motor Sports and Jerez de la Frontera have announced that the Spanish circuit will join the eni FIM Superbike World Championship calendar from 2013 onwards following an agreement signed today in Jerez. The agreement is for three years from 2013 to 2015 inclusive and next year’s race can now be confirmed as the final round of the season on 20 October.

Infront Motor Sports official tests
Tom Sykes (Kawasaki Racing Team) set the fastest time of the one-day Infront Motor Sports official tests on the new generation of 17-inch wheels and Pirelli tyres which were seen for the first time today. His lap of 1 minute 57.254 seconds compares favourably with the existing race lap record, set on race tyres not qualifying rubber, of 1 minute 58.251 seconds.

Infront Motor Sports has signed an agreement with Jaypee Sports International Ltd (JPSI), a subsidiary of the private Indian engineering and construction conglomerate Jaypee Group, to host a round of the eni FIM Superbike World Championship calendar at the Buddh International Circuit (BIC).

World Superbike will be celebrating its 25th anniversary at the Monza Round this coming weekend, offering Italian fans a unique opportunity to be able to get up close with the bikes and riders that since 1988 have helped to create the history of the championship.

Eni, the multi-national integrated energy company becomes Title Sponsor as well as Official Supplier
This was announced by eni and Infront Motor Sports today at a press conference in Imola. The first SBK round in Europe marks the start of this partnership, which complements eni’s previous role of technical partner alongside teams, riders and manufacturers. As a consultant to eni, the ISA International Sports Agency brokered the agreement with Infront Sports & Media, the parent company of WorldSBK promoter Infront Motor Sports.

Ten-year agreement with Infront Motor Sports to organize and host the SBK Russian Round
The Russian Round of the FIM Superbike World Championship, to be held next year on August 26th at Moscow Raceway and which marks the first time ever a world-scale motorsports event takes place in Russia, was successfully launched Friday in one of Moscow’s top hotels.

Russian Round presentation, new championship identity and 25 exciting years
Infront Motor Sports, the organizers and promoters of the FIM Superbike World Championship, will be embarking on a visit to Moscow this week for the presentation of the Russian Round of the championship, which will be held on the morning of Friday 25 November. Infront Motor Sports, together with their partners YMS Promotion, are organizing the event at one of Moscow’s top hotels, the Lotte Hotel, in the centre of the Russian capital.

Pirelli confirmed as official tyre supplier to FIM Superbike World Championship
Infront Motor Sports wishes to announce that Pirelli will continue to be the official tyre supplier for the FIM Superbike World Championship for a further three years following the end of the current contract, which as a result will now be extended from 2013 through to the end of 2015.

Yakhnich Motorsport becomes the organizer of the Russian Round of the FIM Superbike World Championship
In a packed press conference yesterday at the Russian National TV centre in Moscow, Paolo Flammini, CEO of Infront Motor Sports and Alexander Yakhnich, CEO of Yakhnich Motorsport announced that a partnership agreement had been reached between the two companies.

Portimao tests, January 26-28
Jakub Smrz proved to be the fastest rider in official Infront Motor Sports pre-season testing at Portimao. After three days of changeable weather conditions, the Effenbert-Liberty man’s time of 1’43.503 remained unbeaten throughout, giving the Czech-based Ducati team a great start to life in WSBK racing.
