More than thirty Dodge cars to compete in NASCAR racing at Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve
Dodge drivers include: Andrew Ranger, Alex Tagliani, Jacques Villeneuve and Maryeve Dufault. Dodge Red will be the dominant colour both on the track and off at the Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve in Montréal this weekend. A total of 30 Dodge race cars are entered in the two NASCAR Series races.

Honda Indy Toronto Pre-Race Report
Canadian driver Alex Tagliani is back on familiar grounds this weekend with the running of the Honda Indy Toronto, the first of two consecutive IndyCar races on Canadian soil. Even though this is only the second time that the IndyCar Series has competed in Canada’s largest city, Tagliani will be making his tenth start in America’s top open wheel series since 2000, having run in both Champ Car and IndyCar over the course of the last 10 years.

PT will take over for Rahal at the Glen
Paul Tracy will become the latest driver to substitute for Mike Conway at Dreyer & Reinbold in next weekend’s IndyCar Series race at Watkins Glen. The 2003 Champ Car champion is already committed to racing in Toronto and Edmonton with KV Racing, but will join Dreyer & Reinbold for a warm-up run at the Glen, replacing Graham Rahal.

The IndyCar Series’ 2012 engine formula will see a return to turbocharged power
This will allow manufacturers greater freedom to choose their engine configuration. The Indy Racing League announced the spec for its new-generation engine rules on Wednesday. It has yet to reveal which of the five competing chassis concepts – or what combination thereof – has been chosen for the 2012 package, although the league says an announcement on that front will be made June 30.

FAZZT COO announcement
The FAZZT Race Team announced today that team General Manager Rob Edwards has been named Chief Operating Officer of the FAZZT Race Team. Those responsibilities will include overseeing the commercial operations and sales division of the FAZZT Race Team. Edwards replaces former COO Jim Freudenberg who resigned his position earlier this month for personal reasons.

AlexPenske Racing driver Helio Castroneves (366.883 km/h) will lead of the field of 33 drivers at the 94th running of the Indy 500 for the fourth time of his career on Sunday, May 30 ahead of teammate Will Power (366.250 lm/h) and Chip Ganassi Racing driver Dario Franchitti (365.304 km/h).

In Wednesday Practice for the Indianapolis 500
FAZZT Race Team driver Alex Tagliani was third quickest in Wednesday’s fifth practice session of the week leading to Saturday’s Pole Day Qualifying for the Indy 500. The Canadian driver clocked his best time at 39.8226 seconds for an average speed of 363.714 km/h around the 4.023-kilometer Indianapolis Motors Speedway. Tagliani improved from his best lap time of yesterday by one tenth of a second before the team called it a day around 3 pm.

As a race fan going back to when I could barely walk – just being able to say I’ve “been there” is a thrill and an honour. To have been driven around the track in an IndyCar 2-seater is without a doubt a dream-come-true and something I’ll never forget. 
Bertrand Baguette has revealed he is no longer on the market for a formula one seat. As the new Renault World Series champion, the 24-year-old Belgian tested with the Renault team and also Sauber late last year.
