HRT refugee Vitantonio Liuzzi has re-emerged on the grid of the Italian-based touring car series Superstars.

Despite having a 2012 contract, the 30-year-old Italian lost his race seat at the struggling Spanish team HRT for this year to the well-backed Indian Narain Karthikeyan.









It was announced Thursday that the GP2 Asia round 2 in Bahrain has been cancelled due to the current political situation in the small island state. This will give the GP2 Asia series a serious problem since the calendar only contain 3 rounds (6 races) and since the final round is also in Bahrain the organizers has to come up with a solution rather quickly.

A1GP World Cup of Motorsport has been forced to accept round five of its 2008/09 season, which was due to take place on 6-8 February 2009 at Lippo Village, Indonesia, can no longer go ahead.
At an event in Indonesia today plans were announced for the street circuit which will be the venue for A1GP World Cup of Motorsport’s return to the country for Season Four. Lippo Village, near Jakarta will host the series only street race of the season, A1GP Indonesia, on 6 – 8 February 2009.
A1GP World Cup of Motorsport has strong ties with China, having raced there five times in the last three seasons, but for Season Four the series will have a new venue in its most visited country and take the opportunity to help an earthquake struck region.
