Perry Bortolotti continued his domination of the Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge Canada, earning the pole position for today’s race at the Grand Prix ICAR on the old Mirabel airport north of Montréal. Bortolotti, winner of the first two races at Calabogie Motorsports Park three weeks ago, put his #84 SpeedMerchants-Fiorano Racing Porsche 911 GT3 Cup car on the Platinum Cup pole with a fast time of 1:35.904 around the 2.8 km (2.05 mile) circuit.
The state of Virginia may be entrenched in stock car racing country, but it will step out of its comfort zone this weekend when sports car racing takes over at Virginia International Raceway.
