Second full season with WeatherTech Canada
Dumoulin Competition is proud to announce the renewal of a major partnership between Louis-Philippe Dumoulin and WeatherTech Canada for the 2013 NASCAR Canadian Tire season.

The experienced Roxton Pond (QC) driver will race in two Quebec rounds of the 2013 NASCAR Canadian Tire Series (NCaTS), at ICAR on July 7 and at Trois-Rivières on August 11, as a teammate to Ray Courtemanche Jr, aboard a second car prepared by Jacombs Racing. The project is backed La Cité de Mirabel Inc.

Ninth NASCAR Canadian Tire Series Event

With a strong second place finish at the Grand Prix of Trois-Rivieres, Louis-Philippe Dumoulin reached his primary objective, positioning himself once again in the NASCAR Canadian Tire championships’ top-5. For this last road course of the season, the Quebecer is counting on pleasing his fans and realizing another podium finish on the Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve behind the wheel of the n°47 WeatherTech Canada/Bellemare Dodge on August 18th.

This weekend at Mirabel’s Circuit ICAR …
This weekend, Quebec driver Rémy Audette will contest the ‘’ICAR Sundown’’ in Mirabel, at the wheel of his Dimensions Doors/Novatech Acura RSX. During his inaugural race in this series just ten days ago at the Grand Prix du Canada, he turned heads by finishing on the podium in both rounds. This weekend, Rémy is eyeing nothing less than victory.

The Mirabel event was not in Jean-Francois Dumoulins’ 2012 calendar.

Continuously searching for major partnerships to participate in the 2012 NASCAR Canadian Tire Series road circuit and Montreal’s Nationwide events (August 18th and 19th), it is with our partners’ support that the eldest of the Dumoulin brothers will be on the track alongside Louis-Philippe at the ICAR Lucas Oil Grand Prix presented by Budweiser.

Ray Jr. Courtemanche learning fast at the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series school of hard lessons

This was the first visit for the Bonzaï team at the famous 4 kilometre high-speed track set in rolling hills North-East of Toronto. Jumping into a professional series like the NCATS, on a new track and against experienced racers was a tall order for Ray Jr, but the challenge was exciting and he could not wait to get on the track and let loose.

For NASCAR Canadian Tire Series 2012 opener

The legendary Canadian Tire Motorsports Park will be the host to NCATS racers for the season opening event this weekend. In addition to the usual front runners such Scott Steckly, Kerry Micks, Jason Hathaway, DJ Kennington, Robin Buck and JR Fitzpatrick, racers such as Andrew Ranger and Louis-Philippe Dumoulin are also expected to fight hard for the win.

Blok podiums twice in latest Formula Tour 1600 Championship races
Britain West Motorsport earns podium at ICAR
Nathan Blok, a 17-year old racing driver from the Pembroke area, has regained the lead in the Formula 1600 Championship. Blok drove his #5 Boston Pizza Van Dieman F-1600 to double podium finishes on this twin-race weekend at the technically challenging ICAR circuit north of Montréal.

2011 Canadian Touring Car Championship Final …
Drivers Luc Lesage, of Trois-Rivières (QC), and Jocelyn Fecteau, of Mont-St-Grégoire (QC), contested this past weekend’s final 2011 Canadian Touring Car Championship at the ICAR circuit in Mirabel. The races were not at all relaxing for the two drivers but the points earned enables Scion to claim third spot in the overall Manufacturers’ Touring class standings.

Another 1-2 finish for the team
When a two-car team plans for a weekend of racing, they always hope to perform well. They sometime dream of a 1-2 finish. But to qualify 1-2 and finish 1-2 in both weekend races, the stars have to line-up. And they were shining brightly over the Octane team’s canopy at Icar’s Grand Prix.
