“It’s fantastic to be able to step back into the car for a free practice session” – Ma Qing Hua
HRT Formula 1 Team confirms that Ma Qing Hua will take part in the first free practice session of the United States Grand Prix, which will get underway tomorrow at Circuit Of Americas in Austin, Texas. This will be the fifth time for the Shanghai born driver at the F112 wheel and will be replacing Narain Karthikeyan for that single session.

Besides the typical press sessions, a very unique challenge took place at the Buddh International Circuit today.
Pirelli, the official tyre supplier, took on HRT Formula 1 Team’s drivers, Pedro de la Rosa and Narain Karthikeyan, in a competition to see who could fit a Formula 1 tyre quicker. This task may sound easy but it’s much tougher than it seems and it requires a good mix of ability and strength. The winner of this one-off race was Pedro de la Rosa who came out just on top of Narain Karthikeyan.

HRT Formula 1 Team and Tata Global Beverages (TGB) announce today its brand Tata Tea’s association with Indian Formula 1 driver Narain Karthikeyan and the HRT Formula 1 team for the 2012 Singapore and Indian Grands Prix scheduled from September 21-23 and October 26-28 respectively.

The new Yamimoto-HRT is a sporting electric bicycle with soft lines and high range components
The Caja Mágica provided the setting for the official presentation and launch of the new special edition HRT Formula 1 Team electric bicycle by Yamimoto, the team’s sustainable mobility agent. Test driver, Dani Clos, was on hand to unveil the bike alongside Spanish television presenter Paula Vázquez, who was making her first appearance at this act as the image of the Spanish electric bicycle brand.

Becoming the first Chinese driver to drive at a Formula 1 Grand Prix
Ma Qing Hua will make his official debut in the Formula 1 World Championship this upcoming Friday at the first free practice session of the Italian Grand Prix which takes place in Monza this week. The 24 year old Chinese driver will replace Narain Karthikeyan at the wheel of the number 23 F112-03 for this session.

PRG will cover all of the Spanish team’s technical audiovisual needs
Production Resource Group (PRG), the largest company in the audiovisual services industry worldwide, has reached an agreement with HRT Formula 1 Team by which it becomes its Official Supplier of Audiovisual Technology until December of 2012. PRG will cover all of the Spanish team’s technical audiovisual needs both at its headquarters at the Caja Mágica and at events taking place away from it.

Young Driver Test in Silverstone
Ma Qing Hua joined HRT Formula 1 Team’s young driver programme just three months ago and in this time he has been preparing with the team for the challenge of Formula 1. He finally had the opportunity to drive the F112 yesterday at the Young Driver Test which took place in Silverstone. He passed the test with flying colours and it wasn’t only a great day for the team but also for Formula 1 in general as he became the first driver born in China to drive a Formula 1 car at an official event.

In only a month and half’s time, Chinese driver Ma Qing Hua will enjoy his first opportunity to step into a Formula 1 car and will do so at the wheel of the F112 at the legendary Silverstone circuit. The member of the Spanish team’s new-born driver development programme will thereby accomplish one of his first objectives on his road to the pinnacle of motorsport.

The day has come for HRT Formula 1 Team to officially open its doors to the new headquarters at the Caja Mágica in Madrid.
Team Principal, Luis Pérez-Sala, and drivers Pedro de la Rosa, Dani Clos and Ma Qing Hua acted as the hosts of this meeting with the press, sponsors, suppliers and friends of the team. The Mayoress of Madrid, Honourable Madam Ana Botella and the President of the Spanish Motorsport Federation and Vice-President of the FIA, Mr.Carlos Gracia, wanted to accompany the team on such a special day.

The Spanish team will count on Kyocera’s services, which include needs for management and printing of documents, both at the team’s permanent offices in the Caja Mágica and at the mobile offices that travel throughout the world during the Formula 1 season.

Before the upcoming Spanish Grand Prix
Today has been an important day for HRT Formula 1 Team who received the visit of Jean Todt, President of the Federation Internationale de l’Automobile, to its brand new facilities at the Caja Mágica in Madrid. Guided by the team’s CEO, Saúl Ruiz de Marcos, and Team Principal, Luis Pérez-Sala, the head figure of the FIA toured the team’s new facilities.

HRT Formula 1 Team announces the incorporation of Chinese driver Ma Qing Hua to the Spanish team’s young driver development programme.
The formation programme designed by HRT F1 Team for Ma Qing Hua includes professional assessment in his career as a driver, private tests with cars from different categories and simulator tests. If the results of the partnership are satisfactory, Qing Hua could take to the wheel of the F112 at the Formula 1 Young Driver test.
