Honda Indy Toronto unveils custom Waterford Crystal commemorative trophies for 2012 race champions

The Honda Indy Toronto unveiled its six new commemorative trophies for the winners of its two marque races during a ceremony held today at the William Ashley’s flagship store on Bloor Street. The winning designs were voted on by fans of the Honda Indy Toronto Facebook page and were custom designed by iconic luxury brands Waterford Crystal and William Ashley. The trophies will be handed out July 6-8 at the event to champions of the IZOD IndyCar Series and Firestone Indy Lights races.

With this season’s race weekend fast approaching, Tario and his highly-skilled construction team began the conversion of the city’s streets surrounding Exhibition Place into the 2.84 km, 11-turn street course that continues to feature the fastest, most versatile race cars and drivers in the world.
